This forecast is for Brian Head and yeah its only Brian Head and not Alta but they are expecting up to 39 inches by Sat which also is their opening day

Transition to all snow for the base by midday. Some heavy pockets of snowfall (rain/snow for the base early) likely through most of the day. Gusty at times especially this morning..
Precipitation:
80% chance of snowfall today. 5-10" of wet snow for the base with rain/snow mix for part of the morning till about midday then turning to all snow. Moderate to heavy snowfall at times...11-16" for the slopes.
Wind:
SSE 25-35mph, gusts to 40-45 at times for mainly the AM, less gusty in the PM.

Less accumulations expected but still a decent 70% chance of additional snowfall. 4-8" of snowfall possible mainly early in the day. Snow showers tapering off late overnight
Wind:
Not as strong. SW 15-20 mainly early and gradually shifting to the W-NW later in the day.

NW 5-10mph then shifting to the NE at 10-15mph.
