    mtn khakis-for the hunter

I picked up 3-4 pair of these a few years ago on a pro deal, ended up wearing them deer and pheasant hunting several times. The pants fit a little kooky, but for hiking around and fixing fence, workish stuff they're alright. Love their shorts, have 2-3 pair of them that I wear frequently. I guess Remington does as well, or they are looking to diversify some of that loot accumulated since Obama took office.

burly pants for sure...but like you said. they fit a bit weird. Still too.. I figured after like 40 washings they'd "break in" a little...no dice..still pretty stiff.

They'll last though..hope the remington buy in doesnt eff things up, but maybe it will bring prices down?

I don't know about knocking price down, maybe make it a Filson style brand? I met some of the principals at an apparel industry show, even then they seemed like they lacked solid direction.

I'd make them a little fuller cut in the taint to hump region. I wear a 34x34 in everything and guess I have too much hump...but they do wear well. Tough niche there.

I'm a fan- always assumed it was a bunch of ski bummish dudes out in Jackson though. They're really just gussied up carhartt's. Like Patagucci pants, too.

I wanted a pair for a long time, and bought a pair off of the clymb website. I ordered a 32 x 32, and when I got them they fit super long. Tag says 32 x 32 and everything. I like em though.

I had a similar problem, bought the 32x32 and can barely button them around around my waist. Length is short too. I have no problem with any other manufactures in the same size. So, I guess I'll go list these in the Gear Swap...

I have two pair that are the same waist/length and one pair is way longer than the other. I just wear em anyway and the bottoms get all raggedy. whatever.

Yup, thats my problem. I'm happy with them otherwise. I just really can only wear them with boots, which is what I wear most of the time anyway.

I also wear 34x34 in everything but mountain khakis. I have to wear a 34x36. I've torn several pairs up, but they are my go to granite climbing pants, so that's no surprise. Rugged for sure. Still need to get a pair of shorts.

Best pair of pants I've ever owned. Have a pair of the mountian pants, teton twill, and a couple pair of shorts. Actually they fit me true. Hope the "big company" doesn't mess stuff up.

Oh and if you like these, check out Duluthtrading.com. Bought the firehose pants and they are unreal and super soft, worn in feel, right out of the box.
