    ACLR patella tendon

Okay, so now 3 months post injury, my date finally hit today. Went in at 8:15am back out of surgery at 10:00am. The fantastic news, meniscus was intact, so no repair needed. I'm hooked up to ice/cpm/meds and lifes pretty okay... just waiting for the slide!

Damn the block wore off and I'm just in a bad place - didn't get onto the meds quickly enough, now sawhorsing. Anyone have any good tricks? seems that the pain is coming from a)the tibial graft site, and b) the femoral tunnel... Man this sucks.

    Ice and lots of it?

    And perhaps strong drink...

my advice? dont slack on the meds. i know, too late.

whenever i have surgery (which has been far too often the last few years) i set an alarm clock for every three hours. make sure i have my meds and a glass of water next to my bed. wake up, pop a few oxycodones, maybe an ibu 800 if i think it's due (hard to keep track with the oxys) and right back to sleep.

kind of like when i was in college and i liked to wake up, drop a hit of lsd then roll back to sleep until the dreams got out of hand.
