    Perhaps not entirely on topic but...

    Another way to keep your account safe from PayPal.

    My banker suggested that I set up an additional free checking account, link PayPal to it, and keep the balance at zero. This way I can transfer money into it 'at will' but keep any non-PayPal related funds "safe" from reversed transaction or other shenanigans.

    He kept it free by setting up a daisy chain automatic deposit which ultimately feeds into my savings like this.

    Check1 ---> deposits $25 into Check2 on the 6th of every month.
    Check2 ---> deposits $25 into Savings1 on the 7th of every month.

    So aside from $25 that lives there for 24hrs a month the account is empty.

    Genius! well... pretty cool idea anyway.

    Interac Transfers i.e. online debit transfer with banking
    is 100% FINAL - you transferred money from your bank to another bank.
    However, if you use a home address, who would try to screw you over
    when it's done through major banks and your address is on file?
    I usually ask if they can send it, and then pay the day it arrives since they
    have my address handy, and I have ZERO recourse.

    Paypal allowed a "chargeback" after something was clearly delivered while I was studying.
    A bibler bombshelter tent.
    So, no $$$, AND....no tent.
    How awesome is that?
