    Padded Room

    Why did you put the disclaimer on the padded room? When I click on the padded room forum, a message pops up asking me if I'm at least 18. Also, the thread count, etc are not shown, and it says never where it displys that latest post. Now I feel like I will get in trouble with work for sure if I go in there...

    I'll have to fire up my laptop to see, but I bet (hope) this is a one time deal based on username or IP.


    If it isn't a one time deal, this sucks, as nothing from the padded room showed in new posts until I clicked through...

    Hey folks,
    We were directed by our legal team to do this. We have had a number of incidents recently involving lawyers and the site. I believe it works off of a 1 time cookie, so you should not see it too much unless those reset. This should serve two purposes. It keeps the Padded Room going and it helps protect us.

    Actually, I have always been hitting "new posts" on both the home pc and the iPad and never had any problems. Oddly the padded room has completely disappeared from the pc, even when searching in Forums. Jump on the iPad and there's no problem (other than not showing times).... Tried the whole shut down, reboot, system restore etc.... Oh well, pad will have to do for now.

    I definitely have to accept the terms every time I open the Android app.. problem is I have to open the forums window and click padded room, which sometimes I forget to do.

    Why not have it linked to username rather than a cookie type of thing. ie put that the padded room is NSFW in the terms of service, make us all click ok once when we sign up, and have that be the end of it?
