With telenater’s involvement being somewhat undecided due to a broken tele binding, I though I’d throw the feelers out there for additional interested parties.

Starting early at Echo or Carson Pass.
Should be good with the mid week snow, good weather, and a day of settling.

Hi kellie,

I haven’t been out in two weeks so I’m kinda chompin at the bit.

Waiting until Sunday might also mean less powder due to other bc travelers and warming weather.

If it comes down to going or not going I might be able to wait. Do you still have my email?

Ditto kellie. Saturday I want to get my vert on, but I'm open to Sunday. Place to crash Sat night would also make my life excellent (I have $ and liquor).

FYI, ridiculously warm today in tahoe, snow melting, go saturday, kellie, don't wait till sunday, and go for elevation. ( i think carson pass will be better than echo).

I'm out for the weekend completely. I'll be making my computer dance.

But, if anyone wants a GIS model that would be really effective for telling you where to put your tent to get the first and/or last rays of sunlight in a day, I got that in spades.

Hey, I'm in Tahoe at the moment, no $ for lift tickets so I'm really keen to go touring any (every) day

. (Got avi gear.) Went up Waterhouse today with Geoff, it was powder at the top but pretty sticky on lower and sunnier slopes. We took 2 cars so we could shuttle and ski the N side but there was not enough snow there

Went up to Red Lakes Peak again today. The skin up was brutal. The wind was howling, it was freezing, and the snow was nearly bulletproof. Went around the back/left of the big rock on top and the snow was slabby. The worst ascent conditions I've ever been in, which isn't saying too much since I haven't done a lot of tours. But still, it sucked. We stuck to the trees on the way down to Crater Lake. The snow was still sweet in there; shin to knee deep pow down low. But everything that was exposed sucked ass.

The wind really did a number on the whole Carson Pass area. It was blowing in from the Northeast or so. Kirkwood could be interesting tomorrow. We'll just have to see.

Just wanted to see if the snow held up. Thursday was awesome, but it sounded like it was supposed to warm up.

It was pretty dang good for 11-6. It did get warm but there should still be powder in the trees for another day or two. The mid elevation snow was the best.
