Line Prophet 90 vs. Prophet Flite

I was looking into these skis and was wondering what you guys have to say about them. I guess I'd say I'm a low-advanced skier. I can ski black runs confidently, and in Deer Valley, where I spend all my time, I can ski any run. I'm about 5'7", 145 lbs and 17. My favorite skiing is in the trees and on ungroomed blacks pow or no pow. However, my family primarily skis groomers so I need something that can hold an edge and handle speed on groomers as well for when I'm with them. The 90 is definitely wide enough for my needs; I've tried wider skis and didn't like them. I'd like the skis to perform well in moguls too, but I think trees are my biggest priority. Of the two Prophet 90s which would you suggest for me and why? Thanks for your help.

So, basically it boils down to metal (Prophet 90) or no metal (Flite).

    General Benefits to Metal
    -stability at speed
    -generally better edge hold
-more damp ski (less likely to chatter)

    Down side to Metal
    -heavier
-stiffness can be a problem for some in the bumps/ ability to bend a ski
-generally need to be skied harder than a wood ski

    Good things about wood
    -lighter
    -easier (generally) in bumps
-don't need to ski as hard

    Down side to wood
    -easier to make chatter
-not quite as stable at speed
    -usualy not as edgy

All that being said I've skied both the P90 and the Flite they both ski well at reasonable speed on EC hard pack. I have heard the Flite called a lazy man's ski, so if you are a "low-intermediate" whatever that means, maybe you should look there. If you think you are going to ski faster and harder get the P90.

What other "wide" skis did you ski, because around I consider a prophet 90 an on-piste ski. I owned the P90 and sold it because I wanted something wider.

I don't want a powder ski, just something wide enough to be a good all-mountain ski. Probably 95 waist at the highest. The widest thing I've skied was the Rossi Phantom 97. Since I liked the 87, I figured the waist was the problem. However, regardless of whether or not I would like a wide ski, I think I'll go with something in the low 90s just to be safe since I can't demo. I'm a fairly aggressive skier so I was thinking the 90s would probably be the better choice.

BroGnar up there posted a thoughtful and valuable reply to your question. You should say "thank you." And then you should post pics of your mom's tits.

OK, you say you are fairly aggressive. But what level of skier are you?
If you are a level 7.7 or lower, then you might try a 78 mm waisted K2 Jongsticks but if you are WAY better, like level 8.3 Type IIIb skier then you might be happier on some beyond radical uber fat boards like the Flites you mentioned.

Actually, I'd suggest trying some funner skis - Fischer Watea 94s are a good example of what you may be after. Also, if you have some cash get the brand ned 183 Bros from PMGear. That will make you a much radder skier for sure. Well, seriously.

Hello I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what skis I should get, I am 5'8 160 lbs, athletic build. I have been skiing all my life, I usually ski in colorado but I am currently living in the Northeast so I usually go skiing in vermont, I am a pretty advanced skiier, ski the mountain but I like the terrain parks as well, I am stuck between the prophet 90, the blend, or the prophet flight? any suggestions?
