    Pinched nerve in back

About 5 years ago I started getting this pain on the right side of my lower back almost where my ass begins. After about 2 years of pain I went to a chiropractor, got X-Rays, and was told that my hamstring is super tight on my right leg. The result is that it's pulling the muscles in my back to one side and pinching a nerve. I went to the chiro for about 2 months and all they did was some e-stim, massage, and heat; all with no results.

Fast forward to about 3 months ago and the pain is excruciating, even just standing hurts sometimes. Before doing anything physical I've always really tried to focus stretching that area but now I can't even begin to touch my toes. I try and stretch under a hot shower, and it doesn't loosen up.

Anyone have any advice? Should I see another chiropractor? I never hear anything good about chiropractors that's why I'm asking for options. I tried acupuncture about 2 years ago and it didn't do anything.

go to someone who specializes in the back, not necessarily a chiro. Find a good doc, PT or AT who is good with physical exam. To me it sounds like your chiro was treating symptoms and not the cause of your problem.
