    On Solly's website:

    http://www.salomon.com/uk/product/quest-pro-pebax.html#

Go to the technologies tab and clock on it, then mouse over 'Touring pads'
    It says compatible with Dynafit...

Absolutely report back I'm interested to see if the pigs have built out of sticks vs straw this time

Word. Well I emailed that online retailer last night to see if they have toe blocks available, and they responded that they do not, so now I'm even more confused.

And still no word from Solly.

Weird. When I contacted them previously, I got this response (taken from 2 separate emails):

The ones [referencing toepieces] we have are the replacement ones and are NOT part of the recall that was done earlier in the year. These ones do not have the issue that the other ones were having.

They are still compatible with Dynafit and we do include them with the Pro Ski Boot.

So maybe they did remove them from sale? Dunno. If so, kudos.

Still interested, however, as to whether or not Solly has re-engineered the fittings ore not....

Thought I'd bump this to say I'm stoked TC is healing well, back on skis and while he wasn't at the liberty to give details Soli has settled up and he seemed content with the settlement. I hope the long term prognosis continues to look good. Future knee replacements all go well and allow him to continue to pursue the activies he loves.
As for me personally buying any solomon products in the future I'm no longer boycotting them for releasing a poorly produced and tested product and not admiting fault/taking care of the situation sooner but I'm not buying their stuff because I can purchase other companies products that fit my personal needs better for less $$
Hope to share turns with you again D

Really appreciate the news for those of us outside the loop. This will probably create discussion about whether to start buying Salomon/Amer again. To each his own; not sure they deserve a reward of my business for finally doing the right thing, and the latest info about the Quest 14 suggests far larger corporate issues that make me question all Salomon products, not just one bad design made once.

Glad to hear he's taken care of. I thought that might be the case when I saw a TR to Utah. Given the glacial pace of the legal system and fears about "ever skiing again" it's pretty sick to see that A. he's skiing and B. taken care of financially.

Are all the negative folks going to take anything back. I doubt it.

I definitely pulled a double take when I saw that Utah TR - awesome that things are at least healed enough to do some skiing (although I would assume the leg is still far from 100%). Glad to hear things are significantly better though.

you are right about A. B is still pending. And A is about 40% of where I want to be. Not sure if folks realize yeah I am skiing which excedes what they thought I would ever be able to do by a long shot. Hurts like hell, leg is an shorter than the other and it wont bend enough to ski anything over 35 degrees with any level of talent, cant walk down stairs, cant peddle a bike, cant fit in bathroom stall, cant chase my son around, amongst a myriad of other major life changes that the human psyche has the amazing ability to get used to. But having fun and enjoying life again for sure and happy to be alive. But facing many more surgeries coming up soon and life will certainly never be remotely near what it once was. Just laying it down candidly here, I am a fitness guru and take good care of myself, if not for that the outcome would have been amputation, they are positive of that, some days I wish it was cut off and just had fake leg. So certainly not a recovery in the sense that I have recovered anything that I lost, cause its all different and new now, just learning how to deal and moving on is all.
