FS: 190 Volkl Explosive (Wizards) with Dukes - $400

Just like the title says. Bought the skis on here from dfinn back in April for 150. They're in great shape, with just scuffs and some minor chips on the topsheet. Bases are good, I'd say, with a repaired core shot (from before I had em) that's holding up fine, and one new, unrepaired core shot (nowhere near the edge, though).

The Dukes (Small, 265-320mm) only have half a dozen days on them. They're mounted a couple cms forward of the line for 320, obviously if your boots are smaller, you'll get a little more forward. Got those for 300, I think, in the fall.

The mount is the 4th - which is perfectly fine for these skis - but I won't separate them for sale. Please don't ask unless you want to pay more than the Dukes are worth, thus allowing me to put these beauties on the wall!

I'm starting off only accepting a local sale (Denver area, or somewhere in the mountains where I might be skiing anyway...)

    EDIT: pics down below!

Right...half-dozen = 6. So unless you think those 2 extra days of use are worth a significant amount of money, $250 plus $150 for the skis puts it at $400. What am I missing, dog??

Oh, and thank you for the warm wishes!

I think what you're really missing here is that the ski has 4 mounts...

Again though good luck, maybe im totally off base here..

Anyway lets keep this up top for a little longer see if you get any bites

Yeah, appreciate the bumps. Anyway, my points would be that 1) it's a sought after ski and 2) if there was ever a ski that could handle 4+ mounts without an issue, it's these.

I just bought the same skis with less mounts for $30. $150 is way steep, yo.

What the hell's going on here?? I think I'm going to subscribe to you both so I can cunt up everything you try to sell.

I'm not trying to screw anyone here... I am for sure in the right ballpark, especially considering I could sell the Dukes for $250 in 2 minutes if I wanted. If people think the skis are only worth $50, fine, make an offer for $300. That's not so far from $400, now is it? Get a life, people.

That was obviously a killer deal you got. Still, they had 3 mounts, and didn't look particularly good.... and unless you happen to have the right bindings/bsl, it'll be 4 mounts. Just like these. Except these are already mounted (expense/time saved? maybe?)

Anyway, I'm not closed to offers and never said I was... Only that I'm not gonna split the setup. Appreciate the bumps, nonetheless. Keep em coming.

$150 sounds alright to me, even with 4 sets of holes (Wizards are indestructible). If I didn't already have my own pair I'd be all over these.

You'll probably want to post some pics. Also, if you know what the other 3 drillings were for, that'd help. Drilled 4X but immaculate -- $150 seems just fine.

It's really really really hard to kill a pair of Explosivs.

dont think you're that far off on price. given the time of year i think 350ish outta get it done.

that said, i think you did yourself more of a disservice by overacting to skidog's price policing. post some pics, chillax, and sell some skis.

You're right he's not all that far off...but i think more like $325 is appropriate.

Here is a thread selling this years dukes...10 days for $225 add another $100 for the skis (dont care how "indestructible" they might be still 4 mounts).

[ame="http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189044"]FS: Lg Dukes used 10 days - Teton Gravity Research Forums[/ame]

Yeah 2 minutes at $250 eh??? that thread listed was up last night at 9:30...still no word that they're sold...sorry man...things depreciate around here mighty fast and its the end of the season....maybe hold on and try in the fall?

Bump to the top...be willing to go a bit lower and they'll likely sell.

    PICS WOULD HELP!

Give ya yet another bump to the top to see if you get any bites.

$300 is looking better and better i bet.

who's selling these? Jersey or Skidog?

Yeah the mounts and price might be an issue for some, but I think Jersey put himself into a bind by only marketing to a handful of people. He will only sell to people in the Denver/CO area that have a bsl of 310-320 (yeah I know the range for the Duke, but they're already a couple cm forward of the line, if someone with a high 200s bsl wants these, then were talking explosivs with dukes mounted for park).

Skidog- How? Probably because I've been too lazy to put pictures up. This is becoming quite the love/hate with you.

emr- I disagree on the bsl limit... the line on the wizards is pretty far back (despite what I've heard about them being more progressive than Buddhas and other Explosivs.) I would've preferred them a little farther forward, in fact, so I'd say smaller bsl is an advantage for most.

I really need to get pics up. Tonight, I promise, guys.

It aint pics man...its the price...the amount of mounts...etc. Maybe some more info on what the prior mounts were other than the small duke would help. Maybe somone can reuse holes and wont have to re-drill...but....

    Hey its probably pics.

Just be sure to pm skidog prior to posting your pics to ensure the proper angle adjustment.

I've got no dog in this fight, but knowing what the previous mounts were (binding type bsl) could significantly help your sale, good luck, great skis.
