Is this type of Ankle Pain common for snowboarders

has anyone ever experienced pain in the lower outside region of their leg from snowboarding. To be exact, the pain is a few inches above my outside anklebone and it feels like I have a really tight "knot" in that part of my ankle/lower leg muscle. It typically happens to my leading foot but sometimes it happens to the other one too.

Funny enough, I have to say it only happens when I’m "shredding" and "slashing" harder turns and letting my board get out from under me.

perhaps i should stop trying to look so cool.

    Answer:

Somehow, someway, you are doing it wrong.
