    What am I missing?

So it's time for new skis. I've gone through a few "fatter" skis over the past year and I've found that none of them make sense for me. That said, I dig a little tip rocker on skis...but I just don't love skis over 110 at the waist. My sweet spot for skis seems to be in that 98 to 110 range, especially since I will tour with this ski (mount em' with dukes for about 20 shorter tours per year).

I feel like I'm missing a few skis. So far I've heard good things about:

    Rossi S3
    Atomic Blog
    Lib Tech NAS Freeride
    K2 Obsethed

What falls into that 100 ish at the waist, a little tip rocker, and comes in 185 to 190 length?

Done a ton of research the last week, but all I see is S7 this, bent chetler that, Billy Goat.....etc. etc.

I really dig my Obsetheds and have some Zealots on the way (new tip rocker version).

I do like some fatter skis but it's tough to justify living in southern Idaho.

If having a twin isn't a priority the K2 Hardside and the Rossignol SC97 might fit the bill. Both 98ish waist.

I own the S3s and they are very fun.

Forgot...I have some Anti-pistes in a 188 I've been tele'ing and At'ing on and really like. They have rocker and a 102 waist.

See...I knew there was a ton o shit out there. Seriously happy that you complicated this. The Garbones.....are they the former M1? I beleive the M1 didn't have rocker, but the Garbones does, correct?

Lhasa POW, does not ski like 112 waist ski. 191 skis like 185 and fricken kills it on groomers
How it does it I have no idea (dont really care)
Semi flat tail and only tip rocker
    Super light at 8.5 lbs
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Couple things I should note; for whatever reason, I tend to pick a ski with a shorter turning radius. 19m would be ideal. I have never liked a ski with an over 25m turning radius...yes, I'm a pussy.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep em' coming! I'm eagerly reading reviews.

Interesting you bring up the Lhasa's, they're probably going to be too rich for my blood.

I tried them not too long ago, and they didn't excite me. Good suggestion though..

If your boot will fit into a small duke you can take my Lhasas (196) for a spin... Big radius, wider than you're looking for, but I've been a pretty big fan.

I've got some 185 motherships too, but those have p18s and I have tiny feet - Doubt you'd fit them unless your BSL was lower than 310 (mine is 295). Those are also a little wider, but have a much tighter radius than the Lhasa (24m).

    Both are rockered.
    focus.

All my past skis (Atua, B3, S7, ETC) have all been 20M or so. But these do not ski like 35m. I was doing shorter turns and longer turns and all types...........
Worth every penny..........USed ones on gear swap for $650, not bad

The 196 has a pretty similar radius to the lotus 120, but skis like a way shorter radius. That one still has me scratching my head, actually, but I'm not complaining.

Was going to recommend Lhasa Pow's as well. The semi pin-tail lets them make short turns with ease, and they don't really ski as wide (or as long) as they are. At 5'7 160 I think my 186 Lhasa's turn significantly quicker and "feel" shorter than my 183 Bro's which are quite a bit narrower.

Enzo's got it, you want Shoguns, or maybe Moment Belafonte's (mid 20's radius, stout, in a 182).

In this case, you might really really like the Praxis BCs. My only complaint with them is they have too much sidecut and are a touch too soft in the tail (mine are a softer flex than the production model).

No love for the Gotamas? I haven't been on the 2010 rockered version, but even without rocker they should be on any short list of skis in the 100 - 110 mm range.

One vote for the S3s. I have S3s mounted up w/Dynafits and I'm loving them.

Post back w/ what you find/end up with. I've been looking for pretty much the same thing - rockered ~100ish waist. I kind of stumbled into my current quiver - like it, but still think something small and rockered for bumps/trees/groomers would round out my quiver nicely. Twintip would be nice for teaching my kids to ski. S3 really looks like a nice ski - kid @ Downwind has some, thinking about seeing if he'll let me take a spin on them.
    focus.
