    Burton File Guide questions

Anyone familiar with the Burton Red File Guide?

Looks like there are 2 different styles to this now:

    http://www.dogfunk.com/snowboard/Bur.../BUR3304M.html

    and

    http://www.evogear.com/tools/burton-...ide-kit-2.aspx

So they both do side edge and base tuning? With the 0 to 5 degree adjustable for the side, but what about base 0, 1, 2 etc? Any 1/2 degree settings?

Final question is on the file included- basic bastard style? Fine tooth, Medium tooth, or what for cutting?

Not sure, but tognar sells a multi edge tuner w/ a normal mill file for the same price that definitely does 0-5 degrees in 1/2 degree increments on both base and sides

I have one of those already and it is all plastic (wears fast too) and not very accurate. Looking at something much more solid for base edge polishing with diamond stones and side edge sharpening. Burton has much more metal to it.

FWIW - I have the bottom one you have listed from EVO - it is a side bevel as far as I know - it is very adjustable for all sorts of bevels 0/90, 1/91, etc - I never used the file it came with.
