Checking in from California, a bit of a winter refresh in Truckee on Fri and Sat before the big melt commences. Sat started with snow still on the trees from a little less than a foot overnight on Donner Summit:
Plenty of first tracks in the morning (for sure the sun caused probs later in the day!):
From the previous day, different trail system. Sign says "Return to Lodge", and is nailed pretty high on the tree. Meanwhile, the trail I'm standing on to take the pic is at least 3' above sign height:
Such a great winter, but after this weekend, I'm guessing it is all melt from here. Most places will close (stop grooming) next weekend, but we're a ways off from getting bikes back on the trails!
Thanks for the pics from all around in this thread, looks like everyone had some great spring conditions!
