    Philly Mags

Ok, so I may be a little drunk, but it is absolutely puking here right now. Complete waste of snow since none of it is going north, but who wants to screw around with the 1-2 feet that will be down by tomorrow afternoon. There has to be a few other idiots who are in town this weekend and want to get after it.

It is deep here, sad. I have a trash board I might take to some woods near me for some 100' runs.

With all this snow still puking right now, it may be tough for people to even get around today. Also with all of this windloading, it may take a day for the instabilities to settle out at upper elevation steep slopes, like the top of the art museum in all seriousness, I'm down for a few laps somewhere, but it may be easier/ more enjoyable tomorrow.

just got back from the wissahickon, seems like there is more snow in town. Its not quite deep enough and every turn was met with a rock, root or log. Fun though to make some turns in the city

yeah poconos sucked today. I drove up to jack frost @ 7am. It was a bitch of a drive through atown, then clear. JF was cold, windy and scraped off in a lot of places - totally not worth the drive up.

We couldn't decided between Jack Frost/BB , Blue or Bear Creek. We decided to stay south as possible.

Bear Creek was ok...about 10" or so. The only problem was trying to keep your speed, the place is so flat. 1st time I used the pow skis in PA.

BTW, Lukoil has coups for JF/BB, Mt Snow, and some other places. They usually have a stack sitting on the counter by the cash registers. $10 off and BOGO for Sundays.

Playing in the Wiss tomorrow AM, skied Blue this AM 4-7", and most of it dumped after the groomers ran, so, mostly ungroomed. A rarity.......

Where did you go in the whiss? I've been eyeing up some tasty looking lines in there off the sides of the hiking/ MTB trails down to the creek, but I think it would take a lot more snow than possible here to cover all of the rocks/deadfall/stumps. Maybe if Wed is another monster this could be plausible.

Rebel hill is the place, ride it right down to the highway. Only place in Philadel with decent vert, trees and no bullshit underneath.

Surprising number of spots in Berks, got more "bc" days in pa than in the daks which is very strange.
You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

yeah, we just did the mtb. trails - about a 5mi. loop in wissahickon. i just came back from the same trail & its still in good shape. the gear is overkill, but its good exercise. i gave up on XC gear yrs. ago since we never seem to have real winters anymore...until this year.

will tour again wednesday if it refreshes...
