FS: NEW Prior Overlord 193, 2010 Model

On the auction floor is a pair of brand new, in the plastic 2010 Prior Overlords, 193cm- not drilled, not touched.

If you haven't read about them, these skis have been getting super good reviews from all over the place. They are hybrid camber/rocker, with an early rise tip and tail. Flex is stiff, and the tail is squared off for easy and more secure skin attachment. Keep in mind that tail is not twin tip all the way- just raised a bit.

    Dimensions are: 140-118-125

I'm selling because I got the pair for work trade, I prefer to stick with twins and I gotta pay rent and the gas bill is through the roof! F*ing gas fireplace!

I'm asking $600- they retail in the US for $936 if you can find them.

These skis aren't in your typical retail store, they have a fresh looking custom topsheet (no longer available), and as the consensus is out that they are sick skis. An SLC buyer is ideal cause thats where I'm at. Otherwise you pay shipping.

Would you take $500? If so shoot me a PM. I am in SLC and happy to do cash to keep things easy.

I dont really consider an offer that is only $100 off a "low-ball". And there have been a ton of posts in the past asking about this ski, but this is the only time a real pair have shown up. So I am not surprised that people have questions. The better question though is have these been sold or what? I havent heard a thing back from the op

Thanks for the support bob, but also no worries about anyone putting in offers at a price they are comfortable with.

That said, I feel that these are worth $600; they are rare items, sold hardly anywhere, brand new, and my price is close to 40% off of the retail price. Plus if you were to order these from Whistler based Prior you would be paying a much heftyer shipping fee (assuming you are in the US).

    BTW Weight= 4900g
    These are still 4sale.

Here is a picture that shoes the camber a bit, but not that well. If you really want to see just go to priors website:

    http://www.priorskis.com/skis_overlord.php

Basically normal camber through the middle and early rise tip and tail. The skis have a pretty stiff flex, with a bit of softening in the nose- as noted in various reviews the construction is bomber and the skis come with warranty intact.

Bump since these are still available. Just wish I could up my offer and make them mine. Too many other things to pay for right now. So they will have to go to some other deserving owner

Bumping these again since maybe... just maybe..... my offer was a decent one considering amount of fat ski traffic around here these days. If not, I want a review of someone actually skiing them

Yot, $600 is an absolutely amazing price for this ski, cheaper than what us locals get, and I'd be tempted to buy at this price then ship back to Whistler (where they're made...).

PRIOR is barely talked around these here parts. I have no idea why (Canuck underground reprazent!), as they make some amazing quality planks. Most Whistler 'ardcore own a pair or want. They are high-end skis and worth the salt.

EDIT: I will add a mini-review. My buddy has 2010 Overlords, and they kill it. A serious big mtn ride, chops through anything, early rise planes well, and with the camber they hold a sweet edge on hardpack and in difficult conditions. These skis were built for Whistler, and it shows: they slice & dice heavy pow, yet keep it tight in the steeps and trees thx to the slightly rockered tail and bullet-nosed & tapered tip. IMHO the Overlord is well in comparison to the Lhasa, but with better effective edge, and with consistent and solid construction to boot. This ski has been well reviewed in SBC Skier, Powder, etc.

    prior overlords

Hey I own a pair of the 08/09 prior overlords and absolutely love them they are a great ski on Powder and crud they float on top. They are hand made in Whistler Canada and even our pro deal here in Canada on these is $600 Canadian so it's a good price.I paid $700 with dukes for mine used 10 days.

As far as a review goes...I own a pair of 08 overlords in a 182. They have an early rise tip and are 113 or 114 under foot. This is a fast, big ski that handles crud, powder, steeps etc extremely well. My only complaint is that I am not strong enough to ski them as fast as they want to be skied! Mine might go up on the auction block after I get a chance to ski the Fatypus IRock. Buy the overlords, ski fast...

These must be gone by now, but I'll bump this thread on the off chance that they're still available...
    Aggressive in my own mind
