NEED TIPS: How to remove logos from jacket?

I want to take off the logo from my jacket, and probably pants too. I'm not going to say what brand it is, but I like the gear, but am not thrilled about rocking the brand.

It's a sticker I'm pretty sure. But, it's obviously on there good.

I was thinking about trying to heat it up with a blow dryer first, then scrape it off with a knife... obviously don't want to cut a whole in the coat.

    Any better ideas?

Any chance you could just use a marker to make the sticker the same color as the rest of the jacket/pants? I've done this to sewn in logos on several occassions with good success. Probably not as good as actually removing it, but at least you don't run the risk of damaging the gear from a functionality standpoint.
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

With all due respect to the poster above. I disagree and think its a good question. The logos are getting out of hand these days.

stfu JONG. Consider whether or not your post is worthless BEFORE yo write it.

As for logos, I just got my girlfriend to make a badass angry owl to cover the big, colorful 'Burton' logo on my shoulder. Quite often the logo is integrated into the coat such that you can't remove it without damaging the shell.

this is doable for sure. It's not stitched or printed, it's a sticker of some type, but it's a hardcore sticky sticker, that's for sure.

I'll let everyone know how it goes, as I'm sure everyone has bookmarked this thread for later viewing by now.

inthemtns guy probably wears a Dallas Cowboys Starter jacket.

Just be proud of your Columbia.
Do you by chance happen to own a large, yellowish, very flat cat?

It's a DC jacket isn't it? Would probably be easier to just stop wearing gloves...

You could just put a nice duct tape patch over it, find a similar color, cut it up nice, and stick it over

a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    same here.

You could just cover it with a patch...

I would probably just cover it with something like seam weld unless it was textured.

Wait - for real? Are you going to be on TV? Just wear the logo. You're not "rocking" the brand unless they are paying you to do so. Otherwise you are just like the rest of us schmuks who bought what fit/looked the best, conatined the right tech specs and fit into our price range.
Who cares if it is North Face, DC, MH or fuckin Exxon. Nobody pays attention to that shit.
