About to go out for my last morning of skiing here in T-ride (my bro brought his laptop so I'm back online this morning). But, since I probably won't get to my hotel room in south Jersey until 2 or 3am, I don't expect to be posting again until Thursday evening after work. But I'll work out everything that I've got so far including Bumpskier, Bluebird and their mini as well as a spot for Jessie.

Is there floor space or something for two more saturday night? The gf and I would be coming up late saturday night. We'll take the floor, a bed, or whatever else is available. Gonna stick around and ski monday too so if anyone has suggestions for cheap places to stay let me know.

Any mags from the NY/NJ/CT area who are attending the summit:

This Friday is the 2nd Leg of Mad River Glen's Triple Crown, Stage 2 = Vertical Challenge. I will be taking Friday off to "compete" in the 2nd leg, and will then be heading down to the house getamped organized for the weekend. If anyone wants to join me and head up for an extra day on Friday, that would be sweet. It would help save on gas. Let me know.

Not sure if I'll be heading up Thursday night, or super early friday morning. I guess it depends on if anyone wants to come up with me.

As of now the plan is to be there on Sunday. Anybody else bringing their kids so maybe I can ditch mine and get a run in with everybody?

    FOOD FOR THE SUMMIT

Food is obviously really important after a long day of skiing (and drinking). Since there are going to be a lot of us there, especially in the house, I figure we might as well try to figure out if anyone wants to bring anything, and get the ball rolling, specifically breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Saturday.

If this is a bad idea and it's going to be too hard to coordinate, that's cool, no worries. Just figure we might as well make an attempt.

Alright everyone, I just posted some ticket deals on liftopia for the summit. I figured I would use another Maggot business to get the deals out there. If we run out of tickets I will post more. I am waiting to hear from Liftopia to see how to do a multi day ticket and maybe knock a couple more bucks off.

Also, sorry if I haven't gotten back to anyone on pm. Last week was a long busy week. I will get back on track today.

I'm bringing a couple of dozen eggs, some cheese, bread, coffee, milk, sugar and something in a crock pot for Saturday.

We could have a crock pot party on Saturday in the base lodge. We can use the old bar to stage everything.

I could easily get something ready in a crock pot for Saturday night dinner??? Getamped what are you thinking? I say we delegate.

Do we need to bring sheets and towels to the house?

Edit also, can I come by the house Friday night or Saturday am to check out rooms and possibly drop off our pack and play etc. so settling in Saturday night will be easier?? Can I give you a check when I see you?

I'm leaning towards my world famous carnitas tacos. Delicious, moist pork morsels wrapped in soft corn tortillas that make your eyes roll back in your head.

I should have enough breakfast fixings for Saturday morning. Someone want to put down for Sunday?

Yes, anyone staying at the house, bring your own bedding and bath linens. I will send out another PM today with the final arrangements. I will gladly accept your check or cash upon arrival.

I don't see any issues with coming by and checking the place out Friday night. I'll provide details in the PM I'm sending out later.

I'm happy to contribute for Sunday if you dont mind keeping it simple/ duplicates (i got called away on a last minute business trip to Miami and wont be landing in Newark until Friday afternoon ... so Jess and I will likely be there late and I'd rather pick up things we can grab easily on the way... i.e. more eggs, toast, etc.)! That okay with you all?

PS - I'll also grab something to cover BucketHead and I for dinner Saturday because we are vegetarians

MRG contest was postponed. New plans, leaving Friday night.

Anyone from New Jersey/NY area staying at the house interested in carpooling Friday night? I can chip in for gas, or I can drive. Either or. Let me know. Thanks!

Also, anyone interested in delicious bagels as part of breakfast? I can bring some up.

What time are you looking to head up and from where in NJ are you leaving? I was going to link up with Nihiles and his sister, possibly also BrokeSomeRibs. We are all Bergen. But I can't realistically hit the road until 5:00. If that works for you, PM me and we can figure something out between all of us. Bagels from NJ? Perhaps I'm a little bias, but hell yea!

If you're gonna bring Jersey bagels, someone has to bring the Taylor Ham.

The info on the website for the Black Magic comp says $60 including lift ticket, or $25 for pass holders... which sounds like the lift tickets cost $35? That's slightly cheaper than the $40 tickets on liftopia right now, so what should I do? Sounds like just wait and buy into the comp and my ticket together for the $60 on Saturday morning? I'm a bit confused.

yeah, if you are doing the comp it is slightly cheaper to go that route. I am meeting with the registration people today about starting registration early so people can get right on the mountain.

haha well i think we will just have to take a vote at the end of the weekend ... i think Speedfreak has the winning idea though when it comes to alcohol i don't discriminate... punch sounds good. i'll come with some beer/ wine/homebrew too.

Excellent, thanks for the quick responses! I know it's getting a bit confusing with questions and info flying both here and in the Magic thread, I'm just trying to get all the ducks in a row for my crew from Jay as early as I can. Glad to hear about pre-registration, let us know whenever that gets worked out. I read on the site that it was possible at the Snow Wizards shop, and I gave them a call today but haven't heard back yet. Getting names on the list before the day of is definitely nice, that way we can get right on the course in the AM and start inspecting. What time will the lifts start spinning on Saturday?
