    New AT setup

I currently reside in Colorado and have a pair of Mantra's with Dukes and I'm looking for a new set up for obvious reasons, just too damn heavy! I'm searching for something a bit lighter (suprise, suprise) and most roads are leading me to the BD Verdicts. I'll probably end up putting a pair of Freerides on whatever I decide on, but would love some advice and knowledge of other sticks. Thanks in advance

    Quiver overlap?

Verdicts/Freerides aren't really that much of a lighter set up than Mantras/Dukes. and They're similarish skis.

If you want lighter go Verdicts/dynafit or if you're stuck on Freerides get a skiny touring ski like a Shuksan or something.

Have you taken a look at the BD Zealots? They are 300g heavier but they are fatter. 138-110-127mm for the Zealot vs 134-102-120mm.

Surprisingly enough the person I spoke to at MEC suggested I stay away from the Verdict unless I am pounding the resort all day. I'm not really sure why other than the fact that he said he didn't like the Verdict in the back country.

I went with the Zealot, and so far I'm happy.

BD skis, IMVHO, are too heavy.
spare money for a DPS wailer 105 with a pair of dynafits.

agree with Verbier61. I have DPS wailer 105 with the Dynafit freeride (and Garmont Radium), I think that's the lightest you can get while still having a real freeride ski. super skis at amazing weight.

Anyone skied both DPS 105 and Lhasa 186 with dynafit and care to elaborate?
Prob. end up going with the 191, but since nearly no one has skied that...

Define what you think of as heavy and also tell us exactly what you want on the way down...

I'm interested in something "lighter" than what I currently have and a ski that will float better than the Mantra's. Also, I need something a bit softer cause lets face it, if its gonna be nasty and crusty out, I'll just tour on the Mantra's. But with that being said, I'm looking for a bigger ski for the days that we all dream about!! I'm not looking to replace what I have but rather add another monster to the arsenal!

Anywhere I could dig up and read good words on these sticks? I've seen/heard/read a lot people raving about both but don't personally know much about either. Have you ever owned or rode either one of these, preferably as an AT set up?

I would be interested as well, as I have never seen or heard of anyone skiing these, or posting a review.

I picked up from Prophit 90 Flites this year, with dynafits. At 150 lbs , they are one of the best light sets I have skied. if you get a chance check them out. they are noodles however , so don't think about skiiing anything to technical on them
