    FS: HP Mini Netbook

Probably a long shot, but I figured I'd give someone a chance on here first. Paid $350, but dont really ever use it, and the money could be better utilized on some gear. Looking to get about $200 plus shipping for it. Used maybe 3 times, and in Brand New Condition. I have all original packaging, and will come as if it had never been opened.

If anyone has anything to offer as a trade, let me know, and maybe we can work a deal.

    Located in Denver/Boulder.

hey i'm kinda interested in this... although i'm behind the times and not exactly sure on what a netbook is... basically a dumbed down laptop that is primarily for internet browsing?

does it have any capabilities for doing office tasks such as word processing, an basic photo editing? or is it just not for that sort of thing.

i have a few things i could potentially trade too... what are you looking for?

The netbook runs on Windows XP, and although it doesnt have Microsoft Word, Excel, etc., it has Wordprocessing, Spreadsheet programming, etc. on it (basically less technical, more basic programs which take up less space). You are correct on the main capabilities of it (internet browsing for the most part). It has a built in web-cam, which still havent used.

I used it once in Starbucks, and once on campus (CU-Boulder), but the WiFi worked quite well.

If you have any other questions, let me know. And what did you have in mind trade wise?

A netbook is usually a smaller screen (10 inches or even smaller) lighter notebook computer. They typically do not have a optical drive (CD or DVD's) included - so you need to connect an external drive if you want to do things like load new software from CD's. They also many times have a long battery life 5-8 hours depending on the model (due to the low power draw from smaller screen and all) and built in network wifi. Not the most powerful systems, limited many times in the amount of memory they will handle and due to the small size a smaller hard drive (160 gig is typical)... Check out the specifications but if all you want to do is internet and word processing work and the small screen is OK then they are a good buy.

That was a typo before, they are, in fact, size 26 and they're actually the Raptor RD 120, not the RS. My bad!

totally depends on the battery... a 6-cell will advertise up to 8hrs but a 3-cell will be in the 4-5hr range... these times are obviously grossly over-exaggerated by the company however and in order to achieve that kind of battery life you'd have to have wifi turned off and the screen brightness down to the lowest level

might be helpful if you included the model # so people can do more research... is this taken? if it's a 6-cell battery i'll take it... why not
