Think of anything stepper then 25 degrees that runs above the limited terrian that is open, especially Wilber bowl area. Also i would imagine patrol is gettin some of the kinks worked out being the first day that extensive avi work had to be done.

Everything was sliding today. One patroller (Randy) threw over 200 bombs himself. We even had to close everything skiers right of the Sunnyside Chair. I have not ever seen that in 17 yrs up there. I was up there and looked over below patsy and there were 2 people skinning up right below. They should have never been there the back country would be super sketchy. The opening was later than expected but what an awesome day once it opened.

Today, who had time to take pics.? Took a few laps with Inspector Gadget and miniGadget. Deep, fairly heavy snow. Tons of fun. 191 Lhasas floated really well. Gadget rocked the Bibby Pros, while miniMan was introduced to the Night Train. In the Wasatch, there should always be days this good in early Dec.

What a lovely storm. But I agree, this thread is worthless without photos. How are those of us who had to work today supposed to live vicariously through you all without pics? With how hard it was snowing in the valley all I can imagine is blank white page.

yea today was epic. really glad i worship alta 365 days a year.

i took photos, of my car, which i parked last night at 2 am, and at 4 pm the snow was up to the roof. OUT OF HAND.

the snow was not heavy, it was perfect, yea it wasnt nipples deep blower, but if it was it would have blown away to park city. i was on prophet 90s (90 waist regular camber) and didnt wish for fatter skis once. epic day mostly thanks to patrol.

Good day today for sure. With the limited terrain and crowds, stopping for pics was not an option.

i love the sound of artillery in the morning...as it bounces off the lightening n thunder. skied
the bird today. crowded. will have to go back on monday n tie up some loose ends. today was slow motion pow. i felt like i was ridin a lawn mower trimin the edges - keepin it all cleaned up. who would ever guess that life on a small planet in the middle of nowhere could offer such delights? then there's the women! when i die i want to stay in utah.

All talk and no visual makes this stoke thread really fucking lame. Here is a shot from my phone of yesterday late afternoon:
