I'm jealous as well...should be there in about a week though so at least Mammoth will have a good base.

as crystal! You stole Fizzy Lifting Drinks. You bumped
into the ceiling which now has to be washed and sterilized,
so you get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!
Sic!
Gravy's & Rogers Ridge were the playgrounds of choice.

I have mastered all major sporting activities to a high degree of mediocrity.
Finally......a freakin pic. Thanks, barnballs.
Dumping too hard for pics, sorry. I was carrying the camera today, but with near inch-per-hour accumulations and the wind machine doing its work it just didn't happen. We went from "watch out for sharks!" to "sure, jump off it, whatever" in a day.
Fucking great storm.
60 + inches the past week and Canyon and Eagle Lodge open by Wednesday and the rest of the mountain open by Friday!
I have to go shovel 3 feet off my decks before hitting the hill.
"What, me worry?-Alfred E. Newmann
I posted this in some other thread in the weather section, but this is the only pic i took this weekend... Car in the Mammoth lot.

I think bcdave has the same car.
It is such a fun time before all the gullies fill in.
Not sure how long this guy will take digging his car out because this was before 2 more feet came in.
Plenty of powder stashes among the trees for all. I got tired of digging myself out and went back to the runs for the end of the day.
Ugh, we didn't have a shovel and did it the old fashioned way - with our hands.

Alright, fess up. Isn't that a PMG sticker on the top corner of that Honda?
Too much fun to stop for photos, so all I've got are a couple off the lift and a bunch of non-skiing shots
Woke up for early-ups on Saturday to a cleared driveway and 15" of fresh
Off to the hill
Got first chair on 3 and kinda dispersed. Thankfully ~V~'s steezy getup is easy to spot from the lift
We came back to 1.5' on top of the car
Then masterofgreenbeans came over with this
And we made this
It was a good day.
Yesterday everybody decided to call in sick, so the mountain was surprisingly (or not) crowded. Dropout chutes and Climax were money once they opened the top. Here's what the top of the Gondola looked like yesterday, where the sign is supposed to be.

I am sorry to report to all of you who recovered from that mysterious illness that everyone caught on Monday, and went home, that Tuesday was fuckin' nuts. It was wind buffed perfection all day long. Weather conditions were perfect, the crowds had all gone home, and everything was buffed out after every run. Laps on 23 were incredible, and Dave's was goodness top to bottom. (Beware, Dave's has a second wind lip just below the top, skier's right. I took some big air off the top, and just as I was about to scrub some speed realized there was a second, bigger lip. I was committed, took and second, bigger air, and thanked Ben Wheeler for the air tips at the last Gordy camp. I think I had about ten yards of snow contact time on the top 1/3 of Dave's)
Good times hooking up with lots of maggots this weekend. Sorry I missed you Barnballs, I was wonder if you were around.
I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...iscariot
