New Bar is almost complete. Just waiting on the backsplash but enjoying this none the less.![]()
I like both Blanton's and Weller 107, but much prefer Weller 107. Both of those haven't been seen anywhere near me in many years. I'd be shocked if I saw them at my local Costco.
Keep an eye out for new Costco openings. They usually have a ton of allocated stuff on opening day.
Seen on my walk today

Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
After a 1.5 bottles, I've completely sworn of "boosted" whiskey. It actually began to unsettle my stomach with that under-flavor.
It continues to go backwards now that they're blending in their own distillate. The Rendezvous base is pretty meh for the 80$ they're charging. I'm also a firm believer that whiskey aged in cold, high, dry climates isn't very good. High West current stuff, Grand Teton, Wyoming Whiskey, Willies etc doesn't hold up to the traditional neighborhoods. YMMV.
Ended up with one of these for a winter project.

That is good to know, as a born and raised Wyomingite I rushed out and bought one of their first bottles. It was HORRIBLE!
I have been afraid to even try it, guess I should jump back into that pool.
Otherwise I agree with Snapt, the high elevation west offerings just aren’t that great in comparison.

Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winnfield: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?
First production from anyone is usually garbage. It is usually under aged in a rush to get cash flow. Bourbon is a major cash cow but you gotta have the cash to burn for 4-7 years before earning a $ on bourbon.

Thanks. Sounds like a pass this year, esp at $150.
WW seems to be stepping up their game but I’m with you guys in regard to the location vs KY, TN, etc. Their 10yr is solid, but not at $200. One of my favorites are their single barrel offerings but they are also spendy. The SiB on the left was as good as the 10yr.
