Scarpa T3 sizing

I've heard Scarpa sizes are weird... I wear a 23.5 ski boot, and I can get a new Scarpa T3 tele boot for $100. The biggest size they have is 6. Is that equivalent to a US shoe size? I wear street shoe size 7... but don't know if that correlates, and if it does, would I go down a size for a ski boot?

All Scarpa boots are sized by the UK system, so a size 6 (UK) would be a size 8 (USA) for a ladies boot. If you can get them for that cheap, I would grab 'em and wear an extra set of socks or get a custom liner.

Girguide fits a 22 boot and in scarpa she is a 3.
Also I'm a 8 mens shoe, 25, boot and a 6 scarpa.

Sounds like you need the 4 or 5 at best
I'd wait and get the right size, $100 is good, but look around. Boots that are too big and worthless.

Wow, shit, well they have smaller sizes too! It's on sierratradingpost.com, I think you were the one that posted that coupon number? Or maybe it was Foggy. anyways, I think they have 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6. So, I guess if I'm a 7 I would be UK 5? Or would I go for a 4.5 for a more snug fit?

I wish I could try some on... maybe I'll head down to the mountain shop and see if they have any today. If I can use the coupon though, it expires today. Does that thing work on items already on sale?

Is $100 a good price for them? I hate making snap purchase decisions. Ugh. I was going to try and pick some up at a ski swap in two weeks but who knows if they'll have my small size or if I'll find anythign cheaper that still works.

I'm women's size 7. The smallest size they have is a 4.5. I'll probably try to see if our mountain shop has some to try on-- I don't have the time to drive up to Cheyenne. Why do T2's ski better than T3's?

T3s are the smallest, softest, lightest, lowest cut of the Scarpas and are really for touring... The get stiffer and higher cut as the numbers go down (T2, T1, T1Race) improving the boots ability to drive a larger ski.

As your attorney, I advise you to buy a boot no smaller than a T2. Especially coming from an alpine background, err on the side of a larger boot, you'll learn much quicker.

Lots of mountain shops have oodles of ex-demo T2s available for cheap, typically.

buy smaller rather than larger, buy stiffer rather that softer

This is a size 4 T1 or T race.

A T1 will feel like a med flex alpine boot at best.

I'm not a woman, but I have heard of women having a difficult time fitting the T-1/T-Race boot. My girlfriend tried on T-1s just to humor me once and I thought her feet were in torture devices.

You gots to try some boots on. Scarpa actually has a women-specific T2, though I'm not certain if there's much difference in the last.

I thought women's feet were narrower than men's feet, and thus a woman trying on a man's boot would probably find it too big. Can ski boots that are too big or too wide cause pain?

I have crazy narrow feet and have been skiing Scarpa for ages with no issues. Custom footbed and baked liner will fix most issues. I’m in a mondo 30.0 T-Race, also 30.0 T4.
