Since we lost all the info on skis/boots/bindings etc we need to rebuild the archives so we can tell the jongs to go search for something! So chip in your thoughts below

The SD is a true powder ski and is on the fat side with a 99mm waist. The dimensions for the 04 model are 126/99/116. I picked up a pair of 03 SD's last season and thought they would be a good edition to the quiver. They are on the heavy side with that metal plate but supposably the plate will be removed in either late 04 or the 05 season skis. The core is foam, and I know many people have gripes against using foam for the core of the ski and blah blah blah. It also has a somewhat of a twin tip. I have heard about edge cracking issues since atomic uses to hard and brittle of metal, but you should not have a problem with that if you have a large quiver and only use these skis for the deep days. If you do order these skis from telemark - pyrenees (www.telemark-pyrenees.com ) they can mount a custom plate that will alow you to mount freerides on these skis allowing you to have a lighter overall weight. Overall the ski can float in the deep and you should be able to throw it around like a average weighted ski if you are a bigger guy.

Anyone know if you take the plate / hostage system off these skis if you can add other bindings?

I have a buddy who picked up a pair with no bindings on. I've tried a couple of pairs of bindings but they don't quite fit in the channel.

Any ideas? It's the year in the picture above^^^

Yes, just the same as the Big Daddies. I have Look Px's on my Bd's. I shaved the toe plate a little and it fits fine. I've also seen S900's and a lot of Fritchi's on these, since it was a fairly lite ski at the time, probably 10 years old now.

I bought some barely used one's mounted with Griffon's for $20. My son told me they would be perfect for me if I was 30 years younger and liked to go fast. So.....

They make a great bench!!

HAHA! Too late. I sold the bindings for $90 and the skis last year for $250 and had the money donated to Thin Cover. Converted the bench to this
