Since I have to work the night of Halloween, I need a costume thats easy to move about in.

therefore, I am going to go as an iPod. I'm painting a white t-shirt with an apple logo on the back and what looks like a click wheel and screen on the front, then I'll tape some headphones to my shoulder and maybe wear them i n my ears. lame, I know.
    Believe.

Just what we need: more pregnant women walking around with their bellies exposed.

I think that is actually pretty clever.

Soon... not until mid-November. So I get one more year to paste that fake mustache to my upper lip.

Then it wouldn't be funny... it'd just be another guy in the office with a mustache.

Back in the day: working in a restaurant on halloween I dressed up as a Dos Equis bottle. Dark brown turtleneck and tights, foam wrap-around label covered with foil and the big red XXs...had one of those giant foam cowboy hats so I wore it with the top punched down to make it look like a taco shell. I filled it with some fake tomato slices and crepe paper "lettuce" and "cheese."

Also back in the day: had a wind-sock costume made, the classic rainbow kind...sort of a horizontally striped tube dress with long fringe. Entered the party with my friends carrying me sideways.

2003: went as a shower, which I thought was original but turns out it was done in a movie

2004: "Dotty from Jersey," who was Dorothy from Kansas' cousin (just flew in on the red-eye tornado). Red-glitter covered fur-topped 6" platform "ruby" shoes, white tights, pinafore made from a blue-and-white-checked plastic tablecloth, sleazy white blouse with "Dotty" written on it in red sequins, braided long black wig, "toto" stuck to my wrist with red fur handcuffs, lots of chewing gum and an annoying "Joisey" accent.
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.

I'm working tonight... this was Saturday. I know. Boring. Overdone. Less than creative. But fun! Hurray for Catholic school girls!

Edit: for costume ideas for ya, some friends went as Jay and Silent Bob. Also, my favorite for this year: Buddy Christ. Good luck, man.

Here I am as Monty Python's Patsy:

Good buddy made this Oscar the Grouch costume and quoted Chapelle's stand up on Sesame Street all night!

You had a "professional" picture taken of yourself in costume? Overexposed, BTW....

No, no...our communications director set up a screen to get some quick pics of all the kids in their costumes, including faculty. More of a quick fix then a "professional job"...knew someone would say something like that. More pics at: http://www.holderness.org/features/2...ween/index.asp

ANYWAYS, the costume a lot of fun. Coconut made for a good drinking cup down in Beantown this weekend...just a quick gallop back for refreshment.
