We love skiing at Baker, but it makes for one long ass drive.
Can anyone recommend cheap/reasonable lodging that is small human in a dog suit (d o g) friendly along route 542, Mt Baker hwy?
Thanks, carry on...

Suck it up pilgrim,It'll be worth it plus you have good company
I've stayed at the lodge place near Glacier, the one with the outside chalets.
Pretty crappy but I think it was cheap.
I usually just suck it up and drive.

The mountaineers lodge is cheap but very rustic, bunk style beds but 5 mins from the parking lot.
rumor has it that a hostel is being build in Glacier...although most likely will not be completed until the spring.
Glacier? Is that @ teh bottom of Baker. On teh other side?
eh?
I've been trying to figure out what sticks to take out there? LINE? K2 Fugas? ARG? Definately not Dynastar or my jongish slalom skis.
Who's going out to rip tommorow? Post pics Please!
Thanks Scotsman and others.
Sucking it up is tough when we have lifts 5 minutes from the house.
Makes justifying a run to another area tough, not to mention the cost involved.
Finding a good place would also mean being able to split the drive over two days of skiing.
If I have to spend three hours in a car, I might as well get my moneys worth.
