If you are still in MN (iirc) I have some 22.5 Dalbello Gaia’s that fit more like a 21.5 that you could try or buy. Daughter moved in to 22.5 Cochise Jr’s from them.

Winter is coming and we thinking to equip our little boy with some snow clothes. He is 18 months and we will go to Tahoe. Last year he add a bunting suit, we were thinking to switch for a bib / jacket system so it's easier to shed layers during the frequent trips to the lodge What do you think? Also, is it too early for the edgeless plastic skis (lucky bums...). If you have anything for sale or pass along let me know.

As far as skis go, if he’s athletic at all, get him right on regular skis and boots. A great drill to do is put him in boots & skis standing on a towel. Drag the towel around the house-it will teach him how to shift his weight around to stay balanced and upright.

I got play skis ("Whitewoods Snowman 70cm Cross Country skis") for both my kids last year (they turned three and two in May and August this summer, respectively). They both have real setups (Fischer One boots, which kick ass, and 70cm Atomic skis that seem to work fine, although they're probably a bit big for the littler one), but the play skis worked pretty well for tromping around the yard. To my surprise, they also enjoyed tromping around the yard on them in the summer, particularly the now-2-yr-old. For my use, they're worth the money; that could easily vary if tromping around the yard is of less interest.
