    The Quiver Pic Rerun Thread

The PB&J and Bibby/Wildcat do not ski like they have a lot of taper. That’s exactly why I like them. I’m not a big fan of dramatic taper on bi-directional skis, I get “caught” on the tail taper point on firm or in chunky snow. The Moments feel much more traditional than other freestyle skis.

    I’m 6’2”, around 200lbs on the 188 PB&J.

It is too bad Blizzard never made the peacemaker in the 193 length. Thats the ski your describing.

I am afraid of the new SFB cloud core or whatever. Will it be damp enough for you?

Hmm, lots to think about. I always liked the look of the Peacemaker and a 193 would have been amazing. I need to remind a friend of mine that he's an idiot for not buying the 186 in a sale for €99 the next time I see him! SFB has had the Cloud Core for a while I think. The only ones I ever hand flexed were the originals with the black & white block striped bases and they seemed soft back then but sounds like they've stiffened them up. Blister says they're just over 2kg per ski in the 190 length so might work.

It's not that I don't like taper - in soft snow I can see its benefits - it's more about maximising the effective edge by not having much taper in the ski that I'm looking for. Rossi Black Ops 98 is looking more appealing every minute, hopefully can see it at the start of winter.

That is a well cultivated quiver of TGR classics. Bravo.

It'd like to know what you mostly ski (and where.)

Definitely a product of spending too much time scouting gear swap and occasionally flea bay. I don’t think I paid over $200 for anything in the quiver (shipping excluded), so thank you gear swap.

Most of my days the last 2 years have been on the Devastators, hence the backup pair. Just so fun and capable everywhere - from skied out trees, to bumps, to groomers, to park, to skiing with my kids - set it and forget it. Also put a fair number of days on the Protests last year courtesy of a two week trip to Hokkaido. I make sure I ski everything at least once a year - it’s fun switching things up and if you don’t ski your quiver, it’s no longer a quiver, but is instead a collection.

Mainly skiing in VT, CT, and MA (that’s why I need so many fat skis....), with the occasional trip out west scattered in there.

I was guessing Devastators. I am currently feeling the same way about Deathwishes, hence my backup pair. Just a little too wide for perfection. Really wish there were more 4frnt demos so I could try the Devs.

Devs rock. Doebe- if you’re ever in NE and close to 295 BSL I got 184s and 194s in my possession. They are very different, the 194 is a lot more ski but still not what I would classify as demanding

I too ski out of EC and travel which encourages quiver infinitum IMO. If I had to pick a ski for all conditions, all hills on all coasts it would probably be the 184 Dev. Carves and slarves, decent / pretty good on firm, floats well for its width, really forgiving, awesome ski

It has been a long term un-dentist-like frugal approach to DPS hoarding. Nothing since 2015 though. Was a 105/120 fan boy and they’ve just gone in a different direction with their shapes.

you mean something like these: https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.h...nkode=59455889 ?

Not cheap at nearly 500usd before across the pond shipping is even factored in, but then again they are brand new and come with some marker bindings. There might be some wiggle room for all i know - i have no idea who the guy is who is selling them, but then again minty and fresh box fresh (if mounted - so a bit of an oxymoron yes) 198cm katanas are somewhat rare nowadays no?

If you have terrain that is worthy of em that is

3 additions for this season, will post a complete quiver shot when everything is mounted and ready for the season

    L-->R
Atomic Redster junior/masters 187, I know nothing about race skis. Skis look good, pretty mellow flex, well kept. Bindings must weigh 2kg pr skis, clunky as fuck. Anybody knows if it's worth it to switch them out for some Look bindings?
EHP 186, had these for several seasons, loved them, sold them, missed them.
    Wrenegade 108, 189.

Those Atomics most likely have an atomic specific plate on them. Doubtful you can switch out without a bunch of headache. And why would you want to -- weight is good on fast skis.

Yeah, sort of what I expected.
The bindings look fine, but there is something about the plate that seems to add a lot of ramp.
Probably adjustable, just looked a bit funky
