    Karhu Team 100 Input??

Has anyone out there skied the Green Karhu Team 100 ski as a straight up backcountry rig? I'm looking to upgrade from my Atomic Janaks to something a bit fatter and longer. I'd be mounting my Dynafit ST Verts to them.
I'm an expert skier, 5,10, 175lbs- about 190 with pack on. I'm not a cliff hucker but do ski aggressively and fairly fast- all kinds of terrain and snow conditions from early winter to spring. I tend to favor longer tours covering distance and vert. I don't want to go more than 100mm underfoot because of weight and the fact that I'd have to throw down more $ for wider brakes.
How do y'all think these skis would do for my needs?

more info if you search for that. If you are willing to take the weight hit, go for it. More of a yo-yo set up if you ask me, less fun if you have a long slog.

What do you consider "longer" tours?

I skied several days over the past two winters with a guy who had them mounted with Dynafit Comforts. He liked them quite a bit but I think he is ditching them for something else, more for whorish reasons than anything else. I know he preferred glade skiing and fresh days with them more than 14er windjack but that could be said of most skis.

    Exactly!

Same ski, different topsheet. Great ski. I know someone who tele and uses them as his touring sticks and absolutely loves them. He kills it on them.

Where would you be touring? How long would your tours be? I'm pretty sure they are heavier than janaks, but then again, they are also one of the easiest most fun, and versatile skis to ski on. I say do it.

For me, long tours means 7-9 hour days covering up to 10-12 miles with 6-8,000 vert up and down.- Sounds like the Team 100s might be a bit hefty.

Team 100/prophet 100 is a great ski, aside from hooking a bit in pow they're super versatile

If you're looking for super long tours then look into the BC100, same ski just a little less hefty and with a chopped tail. I use those with dynafits for long tours and they weigh nothing and ski very similar to the prophet 100. The only time I notice them being a bit flimsy is in crud, but I never have a reason to take my touring specific ski in crud, so it's all good

I've taken them on 5-9 hour tours and never had an issue with weight
