    Donner Party Mounting

Anyone mount these anywhere other than the suggested mounting point? I was thinking possibly doing +1, any suggestions?

isnt the recommended line on these a center mount? doubt youd want to be forward of that.

They line is really far forward, I couldn't imagine mounting + anything on those sticks. Agreed, Melee would be your best bet for beta on that though.

I'm pretty sure the line is not for a center mount if I remember right. As far as mounting them forward of that line, I have no idea though.

Last years mount is -5 back from true center. Move +/- 1cm depending on what you want to get out of your ski.

^^^ those who have some, where are yours mounted? I will probably mount mine like my praxis & EHP, at 98 from tip (since it is a 186)

Ha, I mounted mine too way too far forward and actually had more tail than tip. Skied them one day in bounds at Vail (a powder day). It was interesting, but my legs got so sore by the end of the day from the strange posture they put me in.

Anyway, I had them remounted, still forward of the line, like at +1 or +2. They skied well enough for me then, although really they are too heavy of a ski for me, as a girl. I could never ski them two days in a row.

I always like to mount way forward so I can stand up and lean back when I ski. So comfy.

I know that's prolly not much help. Just saw the thread and thought wtf, I'll throw in my $.02

If it's anything like the ARG (and I believe it is), you want to mount em on or very close to the line. +1 if you ski switch, -1 if you don't. But don't mount reverse sidecut skis far back, they don't work the same as traditional shapes.
