    Uintas TR

    Some pics from the Uintas.

One of the coolest things I have ever seen, I was sitting by this lake when I heard what I thought was thunder. It got louder and louder, I looked up and SUV sized rocks were rolling down the cliff and bouncing onto the apron kicking up huge clouds of dust. This happened twice in that day. If you look at the chutes in the pic, you can see that one is colored different than the others, that is the rockslide chute.

Climbing up to the summit. The winds were unreal on top.

    Looking back at the lake.

Other side of the ridge, towards Kings peak.

This looks like it's straight out of an REI catalog, GQ poses and all!

Great pics though - looks like an awesome trip . . . and glad the boulders falling weren't on your route!

    Nice pics.

Less than three months and there will be a posse of maggots in tow to take a whack at some of those peaks.

That looks like one of those things from "Withnail & I". You fill them with baby piss & when you get stopped for drunk driving, refuse a breath sample but happily give a pee sample back at the station........amazing scenery btw As a London based jong I'm not sure where "Uintas" is but it looks beautiful . Time to crack out the atlas/google....

    Nice work flyk.

Hayduke, the unitas are just east of the wasatch. You can see them from Park City.
