After reading several threads on this forum I noticed that most guys here are raving about reverse sidect skis in powder. According to you they are the best most maneuverable and powerful tool for skiing natural deep snow.
What I do not understand is why all those ski manufacturers continue producing those traditionally shaped skis and are so timid about putting in production R/R designs? Why there are so many skiers, good skiers, who prefer traditional but FAT shapes in powder? And they are not those stupid morons who can only make hop turns in pow.
Well, you may say "on a powder day we have to deal with a mixed bag of conditions".
Even when watching the groups heli or cat skiing you'll see lots of guys on traditional shapes. How can this be explained?
PS: with this thread I do not intend to insult anybody. I just do not understand the whole idea but want to.
