No pictures but the wife grabbed me a growler of River Roost Mas Verde. It has been awhile since I’ve had it. Great NEIPA. I’d put it up there with Tree House core beers any day of the week.

Death Posture New-American Hoppy Ale
Foreign Objects Beer Company, Stratford, CT
ABV: 8.1%
Hops: Galaxy, Motueka, Calypso
IBU: ?
BOD: 1/24/19
Drink Date: 5/18/19
I dunno if the FO IPAs I'm getting have "matured", but their DIPAs are much creamier and mellower than most DIPAs I have had. Would love to snag one that's fresh off the canning line to compare, but so far every one I've had has been at least 3 months old.
Went exceptionally well with a Fieldroast burger topped with heirloom tomatoes, homemade hummus, carmeliszed onions, and arugula, plus the Grosse Point Blank OST on the stereo.
Lots of sediment, fwiw (you can see the micro-chunks floating in the glass.

My cousin is coming up to visit from Reading PA, any good local craft beer Co. from there that the collective recommends?
She is already bringing Troegg's and tired hands. Which beers from those two should we not miss out on?
Tia

Nugget nectar from troegs if you can find it. Perpetual IPA. Sunshine pils is a nice summer beer. None of them will be overly impressive from what you’re used to though. All good but none great.
Tired hands - I’ve heard good things but haven’t had a chance to try anything yet.

Awesome , thanks.
Perpetual, nuggett, nimble giant, lollihops all on the radar.
Tired hands get great reviews and I've heard of them here in Vt, so I'm excited to try.
Other local brews are:
Oakbrook, Schaylors, Broken Chair, Saucony Creek, hidden river.

Blurred Vision Hazy IPA
Out of Bounds Brewing Company, Rocklin, CA
ABV: 6%
Hops: Amarillo, Centennial, Cascade
IBU: ?
BOD: ?
Drink Date: 5/19/19
First off, this sucker came in a 19.2 Fl Oz can!
Secondly, while not the most spectacular hazy I've had, it's solid.
That said, I'm more of a fan of their more "West Coast"-styled Joyrider IPA.
And, yes, that's fresh snow in the picture. We've had several days of snow in the past week here in Tahoe!

CattyShack IPA
Altamont Beer Works, Livermore, CA
ABV: 6.0%
Hops: Simcoe
IBU: ?
Malt: Crystal
BOD: 3/12/19
Drink Date: 5/21/19
A bit stringent and almost chemical in regards to taste, but for some reason it resonated with my tongue. Sharp, would be a good description. It got mellower the longer it aired out in the glass and the more I drank it. Also went well with a spicy dinner.
Would definitely like to try this one again, either on tap at the brewery (still have not visited the brewery, though) or from a can, but closer to the BOD...I think I might have been a bit past it's prime as it was at the 2-month post-canning mark when I drank it.

East Bay IPA
Ale Industries, Oakland, CA
ABV: 7.75%
Hops: ?
IBU: ?
BOD: 4/16/19
Drink Date: 5/23/19
Spicy and floral aroma and taste. It had a nice zip or tang to it that lent a zesty zing to my palate. I would snag this as a regular go-to (and rank it up there with Fort Point's Animal IPA and Device's Integral IPA as great, West-Coast, clear-styled IPAs with a distinctive flavor).

Anybody had FAT ORANGE CAT brews?
I see they are out of CT.
A local beer store had several of their offerings in stock and I was entranced by the artwork on the cans. But when I saw that the aforementioned beer purveyor wanted $10 a can, I decided I wasn't that much of an art lover and left.
I'm okay with paying $20 for a 4-pack of 16oz cans, but not terribly cool with $10 for one can...add to the fact that the beers were from either Nov/Dec 2018 or January 2019...
so, is it good beer? and what do they usually charge for their cans in CT/surrounding areas?

East Coast IPA
Truckee Brewing Company, Truckee, CA
ABV: 6.8%
Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Magnum, El Dorado
IBU: 42
2 row barley, wheat, oats
A clean, well-balanced hazy IPA that has just the right amount of juicy upfront mouthfeel and an even bitter hop bite on the backend. Super tasty.
Went down nice 'n smooth after 3 hours of pre-noon spring skiing at Squaw Valley...

Citra Slam IPA
Revision Brewing Company, Sparks, NV
ABV: 6.5%
Hops: Citra
IBU: 50
BOD: 5/9/19
Drink Date: 5/25/19
Revision is primarily known for being haze heavy when it comes to their IPAs, with the exception of their Revision IPA (which I reviewed/posted pix of many posts above), so this was a refreshing change of pace to my taste buds.
A clean, citrusy out-the-can juicy burst hits your mouth followed by a clean, even bitter finish for what might just be my new favorite from these guys. I bought a single can at the local natural grocer and am now wishing I'd made the 35-minute trek to the brewery to score a few 4-packs. Super tasty.

MPPG et al, seek out 4 quarters Double Comet and Strikkly Viclly (new last week so likely only available at the brewery). Comet is a grapefruit/mango/(maybe papaya?) dream and the Vic is for you pineapple fanboys and girls. If these guys can get their distribution/canning game worked out they will be on your fav new brewery map.

This weekend, I found myself in Ohiopyle, PA...which is a pretty cool rafting town. Anyways, weekend rains made it a wash and I ended up at this brewpub drinking Rivertowne Hazy morning. I really liked it:

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

It's definitely a new 4Q favorite. I may give a slight lead to 4Q "Equations of time' DIPA, then spectra, but I've yet to try a bad beer from them.
Anyone try the 'Four Quarterz' mojito inspired sour? breakfast beer fucking awesomeness.
I've heard from a rep that Farnham is about to make a 'very big announcement' on June 1st. They wouldn't give me Specifics, but to stay tuned. Any inside info?
I think they got bought out by someone big.

Good to see you are getting their stuff down south regularly. Their price point is on the high end of the scale but considering how many 2x's they produce it might actually be somewhat justified. Haven't had the sour but I think Peruvian did (maybe his daughter) so I'll have to give it a shot next time.
No news on Farnham (never been a huge fan of their beers, inconsistent imo) that I've heard but if I see the Green Empire guys again in the next few days I'll ask since they just did that collab with them. Word from them last week is they are waiting on permits to open the retail space for can sales and samples very soon. Next step is more production space to try to keep up with demand on Side Business, Leo and Free Spirit. Beer xanadu only keeps getting better!

I got some of that in a place here in PA that has good beer selection. They had chinookered a while back so I tried that one.
I didn’t love it. Anyone else have thoughts on the space in between?
