Can we get some slack on the editing time please.

You used to get 20 minutes or something before it tagged a post with "Last Edited by iceman at..."

Now when you notice a misspelling or think of an additional point it tags it immediately, which makes the whole thing seem kind of shady, like "I wonder what he wrote the first time, hmmmmm?".

I'm sure it's just a setting that can be fairly easily changed. Give us 15-20 minutes and I'm cool widdit. Thanks.

    Agreed.

Now, about the ability to edit thread titles, no, the real ones, that show on each forum, not the one that's only visible once you open the thread...
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

It's not a timing thing but a viewing thing. You can edit it w/o it saying anything as long as no one has loaded the page since you posted it. As soon as someone loads the page, if you make an adjustment it will show up as edited. So, this function is based on thread views, not time. I will look into it when I get home from getting drunk at the bar.

And while you're at it...bring back the tags.

I know you do this just to be a moron but it is getting old. remember the 25+ times I told you that I always liked the tags and have nothing to do with their removal? remember, I'm just a janitor not a CEO.

And iceman, I was wrong about the editing time in my post above. I was looking into the title editing issue and found the answers.

I think I killed 2 birds with one stone. I set the thread title editing options to work for 10 minutes after the person clicks 'submit thread' If you don't proof read and fix the error within 10 minutes you are SOL. I also set the 'last edited by' to 10 minutes up from it's old position at 2 minutes. That is more than long enough. And if you use carbon_fibre like me, that message doesn't appear anyway for anyone.
