How much do Peak 18s weigh??

I was offered a good deal on Tyrolia Peak 18s when I wanted to buy Peak 15s(for being a higher din metal binding that is also only 5lbs) and was wondering how much more the 18s weigh? I think that 15s are basically all metal, so the only difference is the stronger spring, which will not even be a noticable added weight, right? Anybody with any info I would appreciate knowing. thanks

I dont know the weight but it might be up on backcountry.com the 15 do not have metal in them the 18 do. I have the 15 and like them but wish I had the 18 for the metal. The 18 are light for what they are.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

do you have Peak 15s or Mojo 15s(08s)? I was sure 15s had a metal heel, that'd be too bad if they don't.. how much is "light for what they are"?
The whole reason for these was a good metalish binding noticably lighter than dukes. I need two pairs(of tyrolias), and both are going on skis I will be spinning a lot(pipecleaners and LL2s)

i have a pair of 7-17 tyrolias on some 4frnts... much much lighter than 916's... dont have any specific values. but noticeably lighter for sure. 916's and dukes are pretty close in weight. no actual noticeable difference anyhow.
    go for rob

I would guess that the Peak 18s and your 17s (Free flex I am guessing? and do they have a metal heel?) are similar in construction, so that is good to know. I could do with the Peak 15s for sure, the question is will the Peak 18s make my spins on LL2s very much harder? (I have Peak 15s on Pipe Cleaners, and Already have Dukes on my 188 Coombas so thought I would save weight on the LL2s by not putting on dukes and getting a lightweight binding like Peak 15s.). Thanks for the comparo, it does help

How much do you weigh and how hard do you ski? Might be the question if you relay need the 18. The freeflex 17 and the new peak 18 have the same toe but Tyrolia changed the heall this past year they no longer pivot and are lighter the 18 have metal toe wings. The 15 have a metal heal housing for the spring, I forgot about that, the toes however has some plastic in it. I know the 18 have better retention than the 15 I have come out of the 15 in a odd situation, If you are heaver and charge hard get the 18 if you are light get the 15, check www.backcountry.com to see if they know the weight.

I ski very hard, but expect to be under 170lbs start of next season. I am not worried about the 15s not being enough, but more about the 18s weighing too much. I think I will just go for it and put them on the LL2s, binding weight can't make them tooo much harder to spin and will make them better in crud(also, why weigh down a park ski over a pow/all mountain ski?). Thanks for the help, and BC did not have it. I emailed Tyrolia yesterday so may get an answer tomorrow

Are you sure you want a pair of binders that start at 8 on jib skis? If your a champ no problem but if you cant stick switch cork 9s as your stick trick, go for the 15s. Your knees will than you when you eventually hook one of your skis on a beat up park landing....

I ski at least an 11 on any bindings(unless trying to get new tricks in park, I will go lower if I expect to be falling a fair amount). These will go on my LL2s(decided on it) which will also be hitting lots of cliffs. I've thrown stuff(3s, 5s, flips) off smaller cliffs(no more than 12 feet with any tricks) but didn't have a ski good for it(try landing switch in pow on Chronics or 188 Coombas), and haven't tried anything off cliffs much bigger than that(meaning just straight airs on larger cliffs). I will have to use my balls more next year now that I have a good ski for the job and these will be seing plenty of air.
The weight wasn't bad for that it was just my worries of how much harder the spins and stuff will be.
    everybody has been helpfull, thanks.
