gives new meaning to the term "love handle".

It appears the young man has been impaled by one if his bar ends.

In the first image, the kid is on his side and you are looking at the bar, which is stuck in his side, on end.

The second image is from a CAT scan; you are seeing the climbing bar in his right flank (the right side of his body is on the left side of the image).

Im trying to find out what the story was.

I don't think it's a HIPAA violation if the patient isn't identified (no privacy concerns).

By "climbing bar" do you mean a bar-end, like at the end of a bicycle handlebar? Ouch.

How can it violate HIPAA if we don't know who the patient is? Hell, we don't even know where berko works.

    Bar end.

Gold star to El Chup who noticed that no patient info is on these images!

Kind of funny from the guy who had an x-ray as an avatar for 2 years.

    See also, beaterdit.

    Edit:

Here's one from when I crammed a coke bottle up my ass at a party.

Dude that was gonna be my next avatar!

Back on topic, I know there were no patient identifiers but it's still asking for trouble.

Thanks for posting though, it was pretty sweet!

I'm pretty sure that is still a violation even though there was no patient info, especially considering this:
