The Clinica Practice Guidelines just published by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons advocate nonsurgical treatment of asymtomatic Rotator Cuff tears.

Its hard to understand who who would be crazier the patients have the operation or the doctor doing such an operation.

    drmark,
Excellent. Excellent advice. Now to get the people to stretch the CA arch by hanging from a bar to take the pressure off the RC, and then restore the RC by incremental habitual overhead weight lifting.

Zalg8: Could we at the Kirsch Institute for Shoulder Research use your story as one more testimonial as to the success of the hanging exercise?
You may send your brief or long story to the Institute at: kirschinstitute@gmail.com

Anyone else with a success story regarding the Institute's exercise program (hanging and weight lifting) may also send their story to the Institute. We are conducting an international multicenter study of the Institute's program. You may also write to the above gmail address and simply write: "Please send study Protocol's" You will receive Instructions for the study including color photos describing the techniques and results sheets to fill out and send either by email or snail-mail. After using the Institute's exercise program for 3 months, you may send in your results sheet for inclusion in the study. After we receive the results for 1000 people/subjects the Institute will publish the 3rd editiion of the book "Shoulder Pain? The Solution and Prevention."
