    DJ questions

I'm building a steelhead up as a SS dirt rig, and had some questions.

First, what is the recomended gearing, something that will work for dirt jumps and urban tomfoolery?

Second, should I cut down by bars? I know a lot of kids run super narrow bars. For quickeness? what is the recomended width?

Lastly, is a 140mm fork too much travel?

    Cheers,
    A

PS Should I look for some 24s?

keep it 26", gear ratio between 1.8:1 and 2:1, bars are preference, mine are like 25.5 and it's fine and a 140mm is a little much, but fine if you already have the fork

Skipig is on it. Try to shim your fork down to the 100mm range if you can. I enjoy wider bars, and run 'em at a full 29.5".

Give you $5 for a pic of you doing an x-up.

Not because I don't think you can do them with those bars, more just because you're skinny ass arms probably look really funny doing it.

Thanks for all the responses guys!

How do you shim a fork down? is it messy, requiring special tools and secret knowledge?

Skipig, I been keeping an eye out for your bike.
