I've been snowboarding for the better part of 10 years and never even searched for a forum. One day I found a mountain bike for cheap on Craigslist so I googled it, and found a review here written by KidWoo. Started searching around and decided this place was pretty kickass.

I came for the tacos, hookers, blow, crotchless sheep costume and the seemingly forgotten lesbostrap 9000.

Because i am the worst skier here, and that's the only way to raise your game up to the next level.

    Seriously:

    1) photo's - shit, i thought i took creative photos with my little dig PNS. now i am researching prosumer DSLR's so i can capture great pic's in order to contribute to the stoke
    2) skiing - tons of TR's that show maggots ripping the shit out of everything. even though i'm not likely to make it OB, i'm find myself seeing the mountain with a different eye; like, 'shit, i never noticed that cliff band over there. let's go throw myself off of it.'
    3) the community - i've never given to charitable cases before, but i found Andy Cambell's story awesome and contributed money to his recovery. and it felt good to know that i was helping a real person out and not some panhandler on the street who god know what is going to do with the money.
    4) Rontelle, Jong Slaughterer, Blurred 11, Jer, Racconface (for making that sweet Tahoe weather thread)- enough said.

I started posting when we were all back at the other site. I have since met, skied with, laughed at, and shared beers with an assload of maggots. I have yet to meet one who wasn't super cool. The folks I've met off the board are some of the most genuine, gracious, kindhearted, and fun folks I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

It gives me hope that in this crazy mixed up world in which we all live, there is a group of people who share a common passion and who look out for one another.

    I got lost....

    Lurked on Pow Mag....
You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

Killclimbz sent me here via another forum. I stayed because you truly are an interesting bunch, extremely informative, porn-crazed, stoke-enabling, mind corrupting bastards.

I'll be damned if I can remember how I actually found this place. I stayed because a few days of lurking was all it took to see that y'all (well a lot of you anyway) were from my tribe. I may be old but I'm not old enough for epic.

This really is an unusually cool community, and I've been hanging out on the net since before Mosaic (predecessor to Netscape) or any other browsers were even around. Any other old farts remember the newsgroups? rec.skiing and Eugene Miya?

Before all of this came about, way back when and probably before some of you were even born, there was a forum set up on K2 and I was a miserable vet student stuck in the flat lands and homesick and needing a way to pass the time. Fast forward, quit vet school and didn't go home but embarked on a Colorado adventure where I went to work for a ski area and went beyond living the dream as I found a way to make a hell of an income in the summer months. Life moves on, things change and this girl needed something more stable, so many a time I am stuck in front of a computer. Some of the original K2 guys got tired of me solely trying to keep up on email so here I am once again wasting time! But some things never change- typing this after a pretty good day on the mountain!

...because of gay threads like this!
and the fucknuts that started them!

Did I forget to mention that I ski/ride and party with said dubious individuals & with out their influence and companionship I would be a crazy lonely hellraiser, here behind the very fucked up Zion Curtain, of pow.

    Dear jstead.

Check the date on that thread where you thought I got hated on again today.

Some butthurt idiot bumped a thread that was several years old.

I am in fact, still loved.

One brah joined Powmag board, a year or two later my other brah was here. I skied with a few maggots and was lurking more and more. So I thought I'd join.

Since met quite a few mags and like the craic.

Oh & I think Montanagirl is hot!

Honestly, pretty much everyone I've met through TGR has been a better skier than average, funnier than average, and smarter than average. /ungeigh

Plus I'm in the top 30 all time posters so I'm sort of a big deal now.

Also, I totally have a mancrush on Blurred.

Found a TGR DVD at the local Hollywood video a year or two after I got into skiing (High Life, to be exact) fell in love with the movie and the ideas they put across and decided to check out the site. I distinctly remember clicking on the forums link and the first post I read was Bad_Roo telling someone about how much goat cock they sucked or something or other. Then I check out a couple TRs and just totally loved the vibe of this place, lurked for over a year and finally came out of the closet whenever my little header here says I did. Haven't looked back since.

I was at Breck in 2007 screwing around in the lake chutes after some snow. That night we were getting all of our pictures from the day together and orlowskij pulled up some TR with some maggot lauching a backflip into the chutes from the same day (jongness prevents me from finding it now). I was amazed and thrilled that something like this existed. I have been lurking since and joined up to talk about ACL stuff when I became gimped last year.

Was trying to validate my 168 xxx purchase back in kollidge. Stumbled across Powmag. Got in a flamewar with iceman, which kept me coming back long enough to show that fukker he wasn't going to run ME out. Got hooked. Got in an epic flamewar with the Hugeairdawg. Ended up here when Powmag screwed up.

I don't remember either but I DO know that I was on Epic first for some reason and the first reference to "stuntcok" on TGR comes up in a thread discussing how Maggots butcher spelling vs. Epic....

I read this article by Rob Story about how rad and cool the maggots are, so naturally I jumped on the bandwagon!
