80,000 heads? You couldn't get me to that festival if Jimi Hendrix himself were headlining.

That aside, the lineup is stunning. Whats even better? I hear they're also gonna be able to pull off a Phish late nite show, which would pretty much be a once in a lifetime right there.

In other news, Langerado was cancelled this morning. I guess they only sold a few thousand tickets or something. I'm thinking you may see a few more festivals also go the way of the buffalo before this economic slump turns around.

I always said I would never go to this clusterfuck. Now I might end up eating my words if phish doesn't announce some fucking westcoast dates already.

phish is the least impressive band on there, IMHO.

Surprised that MMJ hasn't signed on yet. Might have to actually go this year (or better yet, talk someone into letting me cover it for them.)

Is that really Booker T playing with the Drive-by Truckers? That would be worth the trip right there!

What, Kanye isn't coming back? Boohoo.

There are about 5 bands in that lineup that I'd have even the mildest desire to see. Pass.

Byrne, Wilco, DBTs, Decemberists, Mule, Merle Haggard (?!)....I'd like to see them all. Too bad I fucking hate big festivals.

I also hate big festivals. However that is a sick lineup.

    1. Merle Haggard FTW
    2. maybe i've gotta get a new prescription, but that line-up looks suspiciously like some of the others festivals out there (a wee bit of overlap with Coachella). I miss the days when each festival had it's own identity (beyond location). Nowadays it just seems like the same heads spend their summer bopping from festival to festival making each of these events less and less unique.
    3. Merle Haggard FTW

if you have the money the VIP ticket is the way to go, easy parking, quick getting to stages, clean toilets and showers and cheaper food and beer

Yea, I'm pondering that as the way to go. No way the wife would go otherwise. Those porta-potties at Big Cypress were the last straw as far as festivals go for her.

Me too. Just be patient, we'll get some west coast dates. It would actually be better if they released dates after Hampton. That way we wouldn't get people buying up tickets to use for Hampton trades. All I really know is I'm ready to see some shows! C'mon west coast love!
