    Paging all ski instructors

Can you guys do me a favor and tell all the other people you work with that the landings of jumps in the terrain park IS NOT a good place to ski with your train of 5 year olds.

I'm sure this happens at alot of other resorts. I will make a lap or two through the park just about every time I ski and there is almost always some idiot instructor intentionally bringing packs of 5 year olds into the most dangerous possible place for them to be.

I almsot killed a bunch of little ones when I spun a three on a 25 foot jump a couple weeks ago. Instructor girl acted all oblivious when I yelled at her to get the kids out of danger.

I can imagine certain people I work with doing something like that. I don't get it, when I'm out with kids I'm pretty much clenched and counting nonstop. I guess the first upside I've found of Fernie having no park means they have to find new ways to endanger their kids and scare me...

Don't just yell. Take your skis off, go and talk to them, and tell their supervisors. High seasonal turnover jobs are going to attract the occasional less than qualified person, and I know our supervisors have no prayer of finding the time to watch lessons personally to spot the types...

that sux. where I worked we weren't allowed in the park with kids. That didnt stop the idiots from trying to launch off a bump thinking they were going to be the next tanner hall and then beater right at my group.

sounds to me that you arent scouting your landings...until youre halfway through your 270 to faceplant then revert to yell at instructor cause you suck....beat it. its a holiday weekend. if you want solitude for your huge 360, build a kicker on a nice 37 degree knoll alone without a beacon....no instructors there.

Oh my bad, no one has ever thrown a 3 in a TGR movie and no one thats posts on here has ever set foot in a terrain park. God forbid.

I'll make sure to only do alpine turns on tele gear in low angle pow from now on.

God damn kids with their snow ramps and stunt ditches.

Somebody came into the shop and called any sort of jump a "built-in."

"I hit this built in and it launched me, like, 30 feet"

Yea, who does he think he is, jumping his snowboard in the snowboard park, and he didn't just go straight, he should have his pass pulled.

I cant tell you how many ski school instructors or fathers with kids I have seen do this. Really, how dumb can you be. Even if you are not really into skiing you can probably pick up on the fact that people are landing at high speeds where you are skiing slow. Do these people also take there kids to play in traffic? I don't even see the fascination of going around the wedge of the jump and skiing down the steep part...what enjoyment does this bring to you?
