    Fav skis of all time

OK, so there's been lists of skis, but what were the favorites?
Recently, I'd still have to say the Snow Ranger for versatility, VR17s for ice and Asteroids for the deep.

I'd prolly laugh if I tried them new today, but the original orange Salomon 9000 2s was a helluva ski. It did anything, went anywhere. Definitely up there on the all-time scale. I could get all red-hooded-sweatshirt about it. I really could.

    Salomon Force 9s

Lost one in deep snow @ Telluride, turned the other into a shot ski and lost it quickly thereafter.

I definitely had the most fun on my Atomic Red Sled 223's. Waaaaaaaaaaaa! Vroom! Faster than shit. I still pull them out on the occasional blue ice day...

Rossi 4S Kevlar...the teal ones...oh yeah baby, I learned to ski on those...droppin in all kinds of parallel and shit. That was prior to my moovin out west...after that, I'd say the most fun I had on any pair of sticks were Solly 2s Equipes circa 1996...pre phat revolution. They were the last boards I tagged 100 days in a season on, and that was my last season in the San Juans..no school only skiing, bumpin chairs and spillin drinks.

161 Salomon 1080's. Seriously. It was like the first year they were sold in the states at retail locations and they were awesome. The first time I landed a 540 I fucking freaked out. Thanks, dad.

I totally agree. I went faster on those exact skis (207's, even) than on any before or since. They were serious fun.

Almost with Schmear....not the orange ones, but the pink Salomon 9100 Equipe skis that came out a year or 2 later. Pr 8 in the 3S model which was like a 201 or something I think. Loved competing in bump comps on those against guys on 185's. I was sooo cool too because I had a 311 sticker on them before anyone had ever heard of them . The plastic tips were great for popping off if you landed tails first and smacked your tips down on the ic, er I mean, the Pennsylvania powder

    Most hated ski:
'01 Bandit XX. First ski I bought when I moved out west. I've hurt myself so many times on these suckers I can't even count. At least they impacted me hard enough the last time so that they broke too.

I still keep them in my garage so I can laugh at their broken-assness and bitch slap them as I walk by. Fuckers.

The Morrison's. Blue ones. First "big" ski. Loved 'em. Still have 'em but they're all busted up with blown out edges and reverse camber tips.

My Head bumps & powder were *very nice* in those aforementionned things, and scary at full speed.

My Dynastar equipe have been my favorite all-around skis for a long time before I went to shaped.

    190 K2 Totally Piste from Feb-Apr. 99
190 Olin Outer Limits from Apr. 2000 to Jan. 2002
    180 Volkl V-ex from Jan 2002-present

Before that I pretty much sucked and skis didn't matter much. The 99-00 season I was stuck on the TP's but knew I was missing out... so they weren't a favorite.

My first pair of skis - 150cm Atomic ARC . My parents bought them for me when I was 11. I broke them halfway through the season.

    I've had 12 pairs since.

I used my 195 K2 612s for 10 years and loved 'em. But the 190 Olin Selkirks I've been using the last few years have to be my favorite all around skis so far.

haha! this was the first, and to this day the only ski that i've bought brand new. this was '92 or 3. thanks to k2 shop form. they were a 204 but were definitely longer i believe. anyways...this was my only pair of skis, it was dumping hard in steamboat and i was skiing every day. i could have taken out a pair of demos but we didn't have much. no cut skis, no pow skis, just high end gs/slalom skis. those tnc's have seen a freakin' ton of powder days (3 seasons worth) and i always thought that they were the shit for pow. i thought they could blast through anything and hold up to any speed you wanted to take them.

i can only imagine what it would have been like on some fatties.
