if it won't let you access the site to download it - do it on another computer then transfer it via a usb flash drive.
    Thank you so much!!!

I got this shit two weeks ago.

I ran the malwarebytes app last night and this morning it was finished. But when I asked it to delete all of the infected files, it said it couldn't delete all the infected file unless iI restarted. I did reboot, but I had to come to work so we'll see if it worked.

The sad thing is is that these godamn things wouldn't exist if there wasn't some percentage of users out there that are so fucking stupid they actually buy the fake software. So we all pay for these fuckwads stupidity.

    Thanks interweb JONGS!

Yea and they are probably making a small fortune with the so called removal software purchases, from those that think this is a legit error message. There should be a way for the monies to be confiscated, refunded and not let them get rich off this. The credit card processing companies and Visa/MC should band together to protect from scams and scums that do this.

    www.pandasecurity.com

The place has a free online scan you can run. It won't get rid of spyware, but usually will kill all viruses. It runs off of an active -x type deal, so you don't have an .exe file or anything to rename/run. One other hting to think of is that if it won't let you onto virus cleaning sites directly, ou could try a proxy site and then the anti-virus site via proxy (kinda like the way you all look at porn at work ) I've always had good luck with panda in the past. I currently run avg free on my windows computer, but now I'm reconsidering. My desktop runs linux and there really isn't a much of anit-virus, or viruses out there for linux. Neve rhave problems though.
