I scored in my early thirties - Tuco probably will score in the twenties and Dookey is probably -20 or so.

It being Coachella I'd guess a lot of those bands are electronic acts that none of us need to know about or ever listen to - not saying they all suck tho. "AI will take their jobs" kinda performers. So of course many won't know who the hell is who in that line up if it's a festival that leans to empty electronic music.

First skateboard about 1967. I'm as old as the woman I feel. Groucho knew!

My first album purchase was Steppenwolf Live. First concert was Steppenwolf with opening acts Beautiful Day & John Mayall as a 6th grade graduation present at the LA Forum. If I only knew then what I now know.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

    Hah.
Reminds me of a day in the front four of Stowe many years ago. I get in from the singles line with three old dudes.
They’re giving each other shit about being old.
    So I ask.
The young punk was late sixties.
The other three were late seventies.
    And they were ripping.
    Let’s go old farts.

You only get "old" when you stop sliding downhill on snow

    Good for you!

Couple seasons ago a friend’s dad was turning 80 and wanted to ski Snowbasin for his first time. A free ticket on his birthday and some fresh refills absolutely made his day. I hope he is still skiing.

Old is when you can ski better than you can walk.

First album? Zubin Mehta and LA Phil-Holst the planets.
    2nd? Hot Rats by Zappa.
Not as far apart as you might imagine.

I have averaged 80 ski days/year since the mid 70s and now I am in my mid 70s. These days, lots of those "days" are actually half days and this former advanced skier now skis like a strong intermediate with elastic compression type knee braces on both knees....just happy to be out there, spending the winter in an Winnebago EKKO winter capable motorhome on a friend's property 18kms from Sun Peaks Resort.

76 gets me a super deal on Loveland season pass and free skiing at Snowy Range although the latter is a bit of a drive. Knees still holding out for telemarking.
