A group of us are heading down to Boyne Highlands for an end of the season race on Saturday... It's a team GS. Sunday is a downhill that is open to anyone.

It's usually a big party. I look forward to it every year. Anyone gonna be around?

Midwesterners: I will be visiting Indianapolis in May. Is there anything nifty to see there?

Depends what you want to see. Indy's a decent city.

Last fall IMA had a Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road' scroll displayed with some Robert Frank photography. I would guess that exhibit has moved on though.

Eagle Creek Reservoir has some hiking. There's also some mountain biking on the Town Run Trail.

Broadripple on the North-west side is home to a bunch of bars and a good Indian restaurant.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH
    SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY
    AFTERNOON.

WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA LATE SATURDAY
EVENING...BECOMING HEAVY A TIMES SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY
MORNING...BEFORE TAPERING OFF LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON. SOME THUNDER
IS ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THIS STRONG LATE SEASON WINTER STORM. AT
THIS TIME...IT APPEARS PRECIPITATION WILL FALL AS PRIMARILY SNOW
ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE FROM CADILLAC TO CHEBOYGAN...WITH A MIX
OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN TO THE EAST. THE POTENTIAL
EXISTS FOR A SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION OF HEAVY WET SNOW IN EXCESS
OF 6 INCHES ACROSS THE WATCH AREA...ALONG WITH LIGHT
ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE. ANY SMALL CHANGES IN THE EXPECTED TRACK OF
THIS SYSTEM WILL AFFECT STORM TOTAL PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
SNOW...SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL.
CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.

Yeah, I knew a guy talking about the Fox River would have a good chance of knowing something about he circuit. Five Seasons. Every winter I think about sitting out the year but then I get pulled in by the whole dealio again. New show director this year = I'm stoked again or at least I think I am. Last year was a tough year with the flooding but we still had some fun when the river finally opened.

No need to worry about killing your skis, though. They have a really good base yet.
So, we're back from our Midwest road trip and I wanted to thank you for the beta. We had an awesome time! It was 50-55 degrees, soft spring snow, perfect coverage, great views. It's safe to say we think Bohemia is a special place. My husband Woodcorps has thousands of pictures from our road trip to wade through, when he's chosen some nice Bohemia pictures I'll do a TR.

    Thanks again!

No need to rub it in. No snow on the ground here in 6 weeks. The trails are drying and have been ridable lately. Waterskis have even been out for the people braver than I.

Well Indianapolis is known for one thing in MAY. Take some time and head to the speedway.

Other than that, there is the NCAA Hall of Champions, Lucas Oil, Conseco Fieldhouse and Hinkle Fieldehouse (where they filmed Hoosiers).
