This course was for an open event, called the rat race, where you try to match the time of adult rat and the kid rat (neither are awesome racers - purposly), it is open to all abilities and ages, so the course has to be set super easy. It is hard to try to slow down to 24 seconds on a course that usually takes 17.

but as you can see our hill is not all that steep, our offsets can't be too much or you drop all your speed. we work with what we have, which is not much.!

    Thanks for explaining my power-wedge.

I probably won't be there tonight. Roads are bad here in town, and the interstate isn't looking much better.

Did the rest of the Fort Wayne crew make it? We had over 100 property damage accidents and the state police closed part of the interstate for a while. It kept us busy all afternoon. ItMy ambulance even made the news. I drove south this morning for my semester final in class and things weren't too bad, 1 lane drifted over and 1 lane clear.

I might come up Sunday if I get off at the hospital early enough. Wednesday for sure.

My wife also suggested going to Cab for valentine's day.

INBOUNDS SLIDE AT CRYSTAL THIS MORNING!!

It's true!! -- early this morning a 30' shelf broke off the north edge of Buck and slide onto the traverse out of Gorge. Planned to get some pictures when the sun was out, but LES snow clouds this afternoon made for poor cameraphone pictures.

Needless to say, no one was hurt.

If anyone is at Cab tomorrow, give a holler. I'll be in a black/patterned jacket, brown pants riding a black Lib Tech. If I don't respond, my music is too loud. Should be decent up there though. Dunno if they got all of the 10" we got in Muskegon today, but it still should be good up there. I'll try to get some photos. Enjoy the snow where ever you are this weekend.

The Cab was pretty good Saturday and Sunday. The side country was un-tracked and was able to take my 12 yr old nephew with me to burn a few runs. He really enjoyed that.

We were also 'lucky' enough to hit I-75 five times between 11:00-11:22:30 (22.5 minutes - I think that's the longest I've ever seen it open in 4 years).

Cab was good yesterday for sure. I-75 was a shit show for sure. I watched some older guy on skis slide slip his way down the first 40ft taking with him every bit of snow that was on that part of the slope. He then proceeded to tumble after his first jump turn=fail.....it was great. I convinced my friends we should go join in the stupidity. It was hilarious because there were tons of people standing around at the top of I-75 looking down at it like it was Corbets or something of that caliber. Needless to say, myself and my two friends dropped in and made maybe 2 giant turns down the whole pitch. Saw lots of carnage ensue from the S. peak lift after that as people were getting eaten alive by the bumpy, but soft and totally manageable runout...Freakin' classic. The rest of the day went well, and the sidecountry was in great shape. I'm hoping to skip classes on Friday to put in a kicker out there and perhaps this time none of us in my crew will forget our cameras...

Yes that dude totally destroyed the top section of I75 both times he attempted to ski that run in his Yellow jacket and 'cooler than thou' sun glasses. You must have witnessed his second run when he blew it at the end, right after that another dude tried to run it out on rentals and had a total head over heals tumble at the bottom in the "deep" snow.

Yep. It was a great show no doubt about it.

You'll see a report of those skis slaying Jackson Hole in 17 more days......

    Uh, huh.
