    Input needed on website

Im getting ready to launch a website in the next week or so so Im trying to get some maggot input. We built a gallery for photography but its far too slow to download pics so were going to reduce the galleries to 20 pics each page and resize them. If possible I need to people to go through the galleries and let me know what pictures we should get rid of. The website is
team-cascadia.com I really appreciate your input.

Clouds don't look right for the #1 Sunrise/Sunset
I personally don't find that #5 stands out that much...
    #11 link is dead.
#13 could maybe be taken out?
#23.. meh... Doesn't really do it for me.

All those images that you are 'preloading'. Are they the fullsize images? If so, don't preload them. That is your problem. You don't need to preload those images. Let them load one a time when clicked on. Just delete all that preload code.

Your thumbnails are too small. Make them twice as big.

I'd suggest scrapping the whole gallery and using something like simpleviewer or lighbox. they're both a free download, simple viewer might be a bit easier to use (light box requires a tiny bit of html work, but it's all explained step by step on the website). They'll both look a bit cleaner and load a hell of a lot faster. here's the downloads for both:

I think studies show you have 8 seconds for your page to load before people will leave your sight because it is too slow. Your site takes more than 8 seconds. I went to poke around on it and said fuck it because I didn't want to wait for those tiny pics to load up.
Don't be that guy. That guy is dead.

as mentioned in the ski/snowboard forum, your pictures at the top of each page have not been resized prior to uploading.

this is what you are forcing people to download (on the home page) to see those 4 small pics. you'll also find they look better when you don't have the browser resize them.

Along with what's already been said - a big empty Windows Media Player is kinda ugly too.

Not trying to be harsh - you should really switch to a CMS platform like Wordpress for what you're trying to do there - it'll let you organize and manage your content way better than you can right now, and it's free.
