99% sure that I've got it. Have had it since last winter playing indoor ultimate. Pain comes and goes. Definitely hurts to run or bend the toes to fit into or come out of a ski boot. Anyone have any treatments other than RICE?

That needs to be checked out. There are several reasons why you should be having trouble this far down the road.
Unless I am mistaken, which is certainly possibly, turf toe doesn't usually affect the toes; it affects only the great toe at the MTP joint with the sesamoids.

Right. Should have been more clear in my original post. Pain is only located at the base of the big toe at the MTP on the Left Foot. Flexion is ok, extension is not as good as extension on right foot and when forced to the same extension causes discomfort. Spent the summer taping it to prevent movement when playing ultimate frisbee (and not resting it which is likely why it still hurts).
I was saying toes because when I need to put my foot into a ski boot, they all bend, and not just the great toe, but when isolated, the great toe is the only place where pain is.

Anyone ever try acupuncture for this? I've been "resting" since Mid October. (No running, some hiking, lots of biking, some skiing, some surfing).
Xrays were negative, but there's definitely still some inflammation and soft tissue damage/scar tissue build up. Orthopedic Podiatrist said there's some bunioning as well. Recommendations for breaking up that soft tissue and getting healthy? Going to try some combination of Acupucture and Ultrasound and Ice.
