Any tunnel bag advice for a Gen4 Skidoo? I like the price of the BCA but have seen some reviews saying it's not even close to waterproof.

The BCA one is kinda half ass plus I don't think that price included the linq brackets that you have to mount your self. The SkiDoo bags are nice. I'm not sure about too many option options.
I run this bracket with a Pelican Box https://app.slack.com/client/T0EB01SS3/CGEP1248Y

I've heard these are good but I haven't seen one in person.
Day one. Lessons were learned. Curses were uttered. This is unexpectedly very difficult.

Cheetah factory racing has nice bags that work with tunnel racks
Products tested and proven in the Whistler stomping grounds for decades.
I recommend!
I abused my Cheetah Factory Racing rack and bag, it just kept going. Broke a ski holder and they sent me a new one with no questions asked. 100% also recommend.

Yep, CFR is "Buy Once Cry Once" and there prices are pretty competitive these days.
There are a lot of really quality small companies with cool aftermarket solutions. Its throwback retail with actual quality and service.
Backwoods, Salazking, Hot Rod Sled Shop, Whiteout Technologies are a few I use.
Its a healthy addiction...mostly. Do your basic maintenance, try not to crash it, ignore the advice of shit riders that love to spend money and most important...remember that they work on magic and bless your sled everytime.
Good times![]()
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
Cletus: Duly noted.
Hadn't been out in a long time. I still suck and was plenty stuck all day but had to take a pic of buddy very gently saying hello to this tree at top of a very sugary climb. Turned 45 today and was getting humbled by a 60yr old and a 75 yr old. They have both been sledding their whole lives though.

Sledding was good. Poked around but no skiing this trip. Nothing beats riding from town.

Forum fail. Disregard.
Sleds are fun, but I guess I can’t post pics.

Been thinking about buying a sled. And right now I can get a twenty twenty two eight fifty summit for three k. Digital fuel gauge and shot system don’t currently work but everything else is fine. Comes with tunnel bag and extra fuel tank. What’s the collective think on this as a beginner sled?
Twenty two thousand. I know the seller personally so I’m not very suspicious.
So Gen 4 850 N/A? They are great. Good for a beginner. Shot is not a hard fix. The fuel gages never work. Mine basically has two settings. Full and Low Fuel Light in On.
A really smart move right now would be to buy a Gen 4 parts sled with your friends. I have the same sled (2020) That I'd sell for $4k as is. It runs great and has some nice upgrades. But is has a smashed headlight, one slightly bent upper A arm, and a track that is close to needing replacement. For referred, you can get a low mile perfect condition Gen 4 for $7K or less.
People bitch about about Snowmobiles being expensive but slightly used N/As, hold overs with 0% financing and so on can be had for really good deals. I'm not anti turbo but I don't know if I'd want to ride one out of warranty. How many miles before Turbo Rs and Boosts are ticking time bombs? Do you rebuild or do you just get a $6K crate motor (installed)? Also, Doo warranties can be extended out to 4 years now. That will be really nice for those looking to buy a +/$10k Gen 5 next year.
I'm assuming that is really two two zero zero? Miles are a weird metric for sleds. My big rides are fifty miles but that is no trail. Some places people ride fifty miles of trail. I have friends whos tracks don't make it one thousand miles and I see other whips that look brand new at three thousand.
Yeah twenty two hundred miles
It’s been a sick season of sled skiing and that XM I purchased back in November has been a game changer. Our skill level has improved immensely; it’s been a sick winter.
We broke a couple of minor parts today, and wondering if anyone has recommendations for replacements :
We snapped the grab-loop on the handlebar. Crucial for tandem riding. I see the skidoo “deep snow” is ~$50 and other off brands are ~$30. Is there a particular type that are considered best?
-we had some fairly long stretches of dirt and mud getting out today. Who knew that the scratchers would get toasted dragging them on dirt and rocks.
Is there a specific scratcher brand that I should look at?
Thanks all. I wish I could post some pics of the fun!

I've been using a knock off of the doo scratchers on my Arctic Cat with great success. SPI Brand. I think the Sta Cool style throws more snow, but they will break if you leave them down in reverse. Skip the cable style.
Yeah, the reversible doo style scratchers are the way. So be careful when you are running your scratchers on dirt. Mud, not a big deal. But throwing gravel into your cooler is a big deal. We all ride on burned out roads but remember, that dirt ain't cooling your sled. I stop and put the scratchers up if its rocky.
Also, try and remember to put your scratcher up when you get of trail. They can fuck up you track if you hit a rock or stump.
So yes, sleds are a bit like "huh, I didn't know that could happen" but yeah, it can happen.
